I'm not usually a fan of David Lynch fan edits, considering his final takes to be paramount, but since his cut of Fire Walk with Me was compromised, I'm open to edits in this case.
Agent Sam Stanley perfectly incorporated the most pertinent Missing Pieces back into Fire Walk With Me's narrative, providing a stronger story that better reflects the balance in how light and darkness were portrayed in the original Twin Peaks series. Seeing more of Laura's interactions with her family in particular make their decline all the more tragic. Also, the restored sequence featuring David Bowie adds an surreal quality akin to the stranger moments in the original series and The Return.
This fanedit has fully replaced the theatrical cut in my rewatches.
