A lovely edit, I was worried it might drag at some point but it didn't. While I feel the presence of some deleted scenes weren't really needed, their presence is still welcome,

This is just incredible work! One might think that the deleted scenes would drag an already long movie out and possibly ruin it or make it boring. However, that was far from the case.

The color correction is beautifully done, and overall, it really does enhance the experience of watching this epic film. There was only one scene with some minor audio hindrance in the beginning, but again, nothing to quibble over. My hunch is that it was the quality of the source more than anything else.

I highly recommend this edition for one's collection if you're any sort of Titanc fan.

A top notch edit which does exactly what it set out to do and looks great.

A/V Quality - 10 - I watched the BD-50 and it looked spectacular. Looks just like my blu-ray.
Visual Editing - 10 - No jarring cuts, all of the deleted material is integrated seamlessly.
Audio Editing - 10 - Same thing, everything was seamless, the transition cues were well done.
Narrative - 9 - This is hard to score. I certainly wouldn't tell someone who's never seen Titanic that they should watch a three and a half hour version of it. There are a lot of superfluous scenes (and a couple clunkers - like the terrible 'ice' pun as the iceberg looms in the background or the alternate ending) BUT if you love Titanic and want to see it all in one place then this is perfect. Some of the scenes I would have preferred to keep in the theatrical cut but the narrative doesn't suffer at all from them all being included. It's just really long so I'd only recommend it to diehards. But if you've downloaded this, that's probably exactly what you're looking for.
Enjoyment - 9 - This was a really enjoyable edit. My wife and I are both huge Titanic fans and we've seen all of these scenes by themselves (or in SD back in the day) but we both thoroughly enjoyed watching this version. It'll go next to the original proverbially - I'd rewatch either depending on my mood/how much time I have.

Great job, Q2.

"The More Common Type of Review"

I hadn't watched Titanic since I saw it in theaters back in 97. I had been wanting to see the new BD transfer and Q2's Extended Edition was a perfect excuse to check it out. I liked it much more this time around (I kinda hated it back then). I hadn't watched the deleted scenes by themselves and Q2 integrated them perfectly. There were only a few times I could say "Yeah that was one of them". So kudos to Q2 for maintaining the quality.

The 1080 MKV looked and sounded great! Haven't watched the BD of original Titanic so I can't compare, but this was beautiful.

Is the story better? No, it's still a bit boring and I'd much prefer to see a version of this movie closer to "A Night To Remember". But if you're a Titanic fan you'll enjoy it.

Oh and I watched the alternate ending. Wow, I'm glad Cameron didn't use that one.
