Full Disclosure: Kept falling asleep on it, not because of no other reason than I am just tired all the time...but I finally sat back and watched it in all its glory, and FFS this is a damn classic! I totally forgot Crenna was in Hot Shots as well, as I kept saying what version of Rambo 3 is that scene from? LOL A redux on the Stallone AI narration could be of use, even if AI hasn't fully digested the intricacies of verbalization via impersonation yet, but overall I found it just fucking hilarious. I had heard of the Rambo Dies At The End, but never thought I would actually get a chance to see it IRL, even if it's just a punchline for the real ending, which is just as WTF anyway...Dropping the reel in a way to gloss over just how the hell did Troutman and Rambo survive that Russian armored Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid v. the Mexcian Army scene?, and 'Rambo' just moves on back to the war against the Sheriff...none of this is criticism in any way, I can't wait to show this to people I know who might find it as fucked up as I do, including Stallone's early softcore porn to paper over the cracks in manufacturing a cohesive narrative to tie all three films together, even if the first movie is used as the framing device, as if all that happened before Rambo (1). I give all 10s only because Geiferg, to me, hits all the grindhouse bullet points in each factor, you expect a GH movie to be kinda scuzzy looking, you expect the sound to be not right, and you are certainly not looking for a rational storyline for the most part. I even think Stallone could even be impressed with it, if there was any way he could see it for himself.

What a wild ride.

This movie is awesome. A love letter to Rambo, Stallone, and great action movies of the 80's.

My only complaint really is the narration can be a little off putting but for what it is I think it still was a great job, it was Stalloney enough, Would highly recommend.

I didn't ask Geiferg for the edit.
I'd recently watched First blood and 2 but saw this over on The Fanedit Network on reddit and decided to give it a watch regardless. So I figure the least I could do is still review it over here on IFDB like I would do if I had asked.

Where to begin, the trailers were a wild ride, I'd love to see those movies, but not sure they can be given a true movie treatment, regardless they set the tone for what was going to be coming with Rambo.

I don't want to spoil things, chances are you read the description on the release information tab and that is pretty much what's on offer, a one man killing machine with a healthly amount of T&A, guns, digitized squibs, it feels like a love letter to stallones career as a whole, even the less hollywood side. I was impressed by not only the use of Hot shots to make the Colonel seem more in tone for the grindhouse, but to serve up another conquest for Rambo.

The only drawbacks are the autoread AI script is a little iffy and some of the early deepfake shots aren't so good, but at the same time, I'm impressed this is the work of one person so can easily dismiss these faults. It's just a madcap 1980's style yayo-fuelled execs dream and easily up there with the best grindhouse edits like War of the Stars.
Give it a look in, chances are you won't be disappointed.

I grew up with the steroid Rambo from part III - and as a kid I was a little disappointed when I finally saw "First Blood".

That was corrected today - because this is the Rambo we all deserve.
I love the over-the-top narration and laughed out loud several times.

Overall, a brilliant done edit that you can see the tremendous effort that went into making. Gieferg created a completely new script and with it a new viewing experience. I love the comedy and (sometimes) naughty jokes written for the dialogue script for the voice over.

I noticed two effects (we're talking seconds here) of the film that I realized were manipulated but didn't bother me. Gieferg explained to me that these were done with overlay material.

Probably one of the best fan edits I've seen. Highly recommended, and I dare to say I like this version better than the original. It was a blast and a lot of fun.

Looking forward to seeing more of Gieferg's edits!
