Gieferg continues to be one of the (if not THE) most ambitious fan-editor around, and this one is a shining example. What a stroke of genius to use footage from Hot Shots II as the basis for creating the ultimate Rambo spoof/tribute movie. My only criticism is a technical one, that the mechanical auto-Stallone voiceover used here isn't quite up to par with Gieferg's hilarious newly written narration. I laughed plenty, but if somehow some more emotion could have been injected into the lines (a human impersonator?), it would have bumped the whole affair up another level. (Not to say Stallone isn't pretty close to robotic already, but Gieferg's writing here deserves the best.)

That small quibble aside, this one is an edit for all-time, my description can't do the insanity of it justice, just watch it, enjoy the ride and don't be surprised if you find you have somehow grown a sweet mullet by the time the final bear has been put down.

One of the most fun fanedits out there! Brilliant mash-up of different films for an absolute grindhouse blast. This new narrative offers is everything I like about this medium, it's raw, deliciously salacious and fun as hell, terrific job!

This edit is a blast from start to finish! Opening with classic grindhouse style trailers was a great way to set the tone for what is a fun, gritty, raunchy, over the top classic 80s action movie! Several movies are seamlessly edited together, to great (and often comedic) effect. Without spoiling the moment, there was a point where I forgot that a certain actor who appears in Rambo: First Blood Part 2 was in another movie set in the same era... I was quite surprised when the cut away happened and had a great laugh!

The only critique I would have is the AI voiceover sometimes sounds painfully robotic. Sometimes it's funny, other times not so much, but then in many scenes it sounds near perfect! (And the technology is only going to get better.)

Overall, this is a really fun watch for anyone that's a fan of Rambo or that style of gritty action movie. I definitely can't wait to check out more in Gieferg's Grindhoused series!

Three Fveking Bears (Rambo, et al) - Vilgefortz

Filesize = 7.6 GB, Video = 1920 X 1080p AVC, Audio = 192 kbps AC-3, 2-Channel stereo. No subs.

“Why are you pushing me?”
Rambo’s initial story, totally reworked, via flashbacks and voiceovers.
The flashback work to propel the narrative pace of this irreverent actioner.
Contemplative lulls are fewer here. Prudish Americans ought to brace for steamy nudity, as well.
The voiceover work is funny as well. Rambo sounds like he is sippin’ syrup throughout, just about to nod off into permanent dreamland.
Here and there, the image is battered, though not overly so.
Dialogue is fairly clear – I gripe about this frequently. I listened through headphones.
Too bad Neglify is no longer reviewing. This is one he should have enjoyed.

I will keep it brief: This was so much FUN !!!!
It was the first time that my beloved couchpartner saw a Grindhouse Movie in her life and she loved it to bits.
She was having a great time.
The Voice Over is brilliant and the scnes, the "before i came here", the Country Song, the Sexy stuff: Funny as hell.
I did not expect it to be so monumental, with nearly 2 hours, but we get The WHOLE Story, so thats fair.

From the Trailers at the start, to all the funny Bits and Uncle Bear: great work !!!
