This movie is worse than I expected. I had avoided it since it came out because it looked offensively, ridiculously, horribly bad. I'm glad I got my blu-ray secondhand, because I hate it. It is essentially 2 hours of character assassination. Its still nothing like the comics characters and tarnished every character in it. Well, except Heimdall. But Idris Elba is amazing and at least HIS role was allowed to actually have the gravitas the plot needed. If someone made a version in which only Heimdall's scenes were in, that might actually be ok. Whatever.

This edit is extremely well done however. I didn't count off in any category that the fan editor had control over, because the fan-editor did nothing wrong. His work was as impeccable as always. I know that I am not in the majority opinion on this film, so if you like the original, this edit is extremely well done and it seamlessly adds more to the film. There was not a visual or sound issue that I could see and everything went together as if it was always there. I didn't expect that more of this film would make me like it more, but I wanted to try the film at maximum.

EDIT: Oh! I totally forgot, I did really enjoy the inclusion of the New York Odin scene. That was actually better in this version. The other version wasn't necessarily bad (that scene) but the Dr Strange cameo and all that felt kind of forced. This did at least help with that issue. Also, I edited my enjoyment to a 6, it had been a 2... I felt like I was punishing Bobson for this movie being terrible, and again, that is not his fault.

This was an interesting take on the movie. I wasn't even aware there was an alternate death of Odin/entrance of Hela scene. Great work putting this in. One thing, though. This movie is listed as an extended version. However, it's a minute shorter than theatrical. That's the only thing. Keep up the great work Bobson Dugnutt!

I remembere kind of liking the theatrical cut, but it kind of dragged a little bit. Though i was interested how i feel about bobson´s extented version and surprisingly i liked it more than the theatrical. Perhaps it´s due to the added scenes but definetly because of the Odin death in NY, it´s so much more satisfying and dramatic, i don´t know why they changed it.
So, bravo Bobson, nothing to criticise because the editing on a technical level is seamlessly :) As always there nothing or very little to criticise regarding bobsons work.

Just the overall quality bitrate-wise is something i don´t like, but that´s personal preference

The sakaaran edit was very fun to watch. I really enjoyed the alternate odin death scene where we see him in new york instead of Norway. This version gives a more dramatic entrance for Hela and gives the audience a reason to want her stopped. It's much clearer to us that she is the bad guy and not a misunderstood child we could have seen her as previously. The removal of dr strange scenes were also a success.
I did however notice a reinserted scene that hadn't been fully cgi completed by marvel so there was an awkward part with bats flying around the room after meeting the grand master that should have been left out as they make the overall cut look less professional. I also thought the grandmasters hand gestures sequence could have been removed as that went on far too long. I appreciate the editor was aiming for the longest possible version but these parts didnt add anything to the plot and took away some interest

Some people seem to be unhappy with the direction the character of thor was taken in the mcu, after the lackluster first two films, I can't understand this opinion. I would easily rank this at the top of the franchise with Gotg. Bobson has made this even more enjoyable with the seemless integration of deleted scenes and the alternative odin scene. If you liked the original, I can't recommend enough.
