The repeated scene of Thor colliding with his soon to be mortal friends vehicle should have been left out and instead after he's sent hurtling to Midgard the scene should have gone straight to the next Asgard scene and the audio tended to go really quiet for the talking scenes and become really loud for the fight sequences though I enjoyed the rest of what this edit had to offer immensely and I can definitely see why it won The Fanedit Of The Month Award, this is vastly superior to the original and if you ever decided to do a Fanedit of Thor Darkworld I am certain that the hypothetical edit of that movie would also surpass the original version of said movie.

This was a very enjoyable watch. I have always liked the first Thor movie, but I also have always found it to be a little too... basic. So, when I saw the intent behind this edit, I was very interested in it. I thought that switching up the structure of the movie could make the simple story much more interesting. And sure enough, it was. The flow of the narrative was much better and like another reviewer wrote, it even feels like the original way the story was meant to be told. The deleted scenes where also a nice addition. The editing, to me, was flawless. As far as analysing A/V quality goes, I'm no expert but it all looked and sounded really good to me. My only complaint, which is why I deducted 1 point from the narrative category, was the placement of the frost giants' flashback. Like others have said, it felt abrupt. My suggestion to fix this tiny problem would be to divide the story in chapters, pulp fiction style. It would go like this: Chapter 1 - Movie begins and goes all the way to the frost giants' flashback; Chapter 2 - begins at the flashback and goes all the way to when Thor is banished, ending when we see him getting hit by Jane's car again; And Chapter 3 would be the rest of th movie. I don't know if it would work, but it felt like an interesting thought so I decided to share it. All in all, I enjoyed the heck out of this edit and would recommend it to everyone.

Funnily enough I had initially thought if splitting the film to to three sections/chapters.

Chapter 1: Thor
Chapter 2: Loki
Chapter 3: Odinson

The two reasons I didn't do this was because I couldn't find a font a liked enough and I felt starting the Loki chapter with Thors coronation meant Loki was not the focus of his chapter until midway through.

Really glad you enjoyed the edit and the reinstated scenes.

Thor was one of the origin mcu films that I really liked. Ok, not every second of it but it was pretty good intro to the character and fan movie in general. The only reason I decided to watch this edit is because I was intrigued by the idea of the restructed narrative.

Technical wise, audio and visual editing was excellent! Leaving my knowing-the-movie-by-heart out, I couldn't notice any tampering in any scene. It was as if this was the theatrical cut. So job well done here!

On the narrative side of things I'll say this, this is by far the best way, especially for someone who is unfamiliar with the character, to watch the film! Although, I won't agree with the editor that you truly feel as if the guy isn't actually Thor. I mean, there are several reasons for the viewer to be certain who the "blonde guy" is, not necessarily in-movie reasons. But, with that being said, it does match the narrative from the view point of Jane. You get to see the actual Thor, when Jane finally knows that he truly was Thor all along. Also, considering the fact that every origin movie ever, presents you the actual hero towards the middle of the movie, again, the editor's narrative here fits better.

So I definitely recommend this to everyone, even more so if you have no idea about comic book Thor! For me, the only reason that this will probably not be my go-to version, is the lack of subtitles. And since I really liked the original also, I'll stick with my blu-ray...Btw, if anyone knows if there are english subs for this, I would appreciate the info!

Thank you Malthus and thanks to anyone who read my review!

Pretty much my go to version from now on.
The rearranged scenes make much more sense and add a bit of mystery to Thor's character early on.
The added deleted scenes give some much need screen time to pretty much everybody and don't feel out of place or forced.
Well done.
