As someone who loved the original two films, it was a treat to watch both films combined into one seamlessly. Well, except the hair, but there's nothing you can do about it, can you? This doesn't replace the originals or my extended editions for me (since I really loved the second one and wouldn't want to leave it out) but this is still a great alternative. Thumbs up!

While it wasn't horrible, it just wasn't the greatest. This fan edit takes roughly 80% of the first film splicing it with around 20% of the 2nd film to make one complete film. Most of it was enjoyable, but randomly you would hear Normal Osbourn speaking to no one, which didn't make any sense. Adding the 2nd films scenes more towards the middle of the film made for some continuity errors, like suddenly his hair is longer, or showing a scene with Harry after the death of his father but placing it before his death.

This edit does completely cuts out, Electro, Green Goblin, most of all of Rhino and only a mention of Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat. Also cutting out Peter not being Spider-Man anymore, the flash back scene of his father as if he was a ghost. Virtually all of the 2nd film cut only showing barely a few scenes mainly with Harry. I did like the beginning how he used both early scenes of the beginning of both films to make the parents leaving more complete, but that was probably the best parts of the film.

The fan edit isn't so bad but the longer runtime made it kind of boring at parts, for a while it just dragged making it seem like there was no story at all till over an hour into it.

Audio/video was great quality, using what looked like bluray quality. And also using the sound effect of the web thwip from the original trilogy placed in this wasn't bad hearing, also changing Peter's ringtone was funny.

But overall if you hated the original two films then this is probably for you, but since I didn't mind either of them I really didn't like this at all. It was a nice try, but not the best.

I must admit I couldn't do too much with the hair on Andrew Garfield, mea culpa. But if you actually pay attention to how the scenes are shown, there is not continuity errors with Harry's Scenes. It goes like this:

1) Harry comes back after a long time.
2) Peter visits Harry. Norman hasn't died yet and Harry hasn't become OSCORP's Head yet.
3) Harry talks to Norman and he gives him his files. If you notice it, I cut all the parts that suggest Osborn was in his final hours. He is not dying yet, just incredibly sick. He gives him the files believing Harry will continue his legacy in the way Norman wanted.
4) Harry checks the files and asks Peter to see him because Norman has been watching him.
5) Harry watches the news.
6) After Norman DIES, Harry becomes the CEO of OSCORP and we can assume Harry will take the company to another direction.

I did the best possible to add his scenes in a coherent way. It is how these scenes are presented. So this way, there is no continuity errors.

I was majorly disappointed in the theatrical versions and felt there was simply too much filler in trying to make this Spidey different from the previous films which I loved.

But in saying that, combining two mediocre films into one, whilst making it a better film on the whole, there really isn't any Spider-Man at all and he doesn't even show up until the second hour.

The characters have no personality and I found myself not caring at all about them. Peter stalking Gwen and having her picture on his computer is creepy!

Here's some issues I had;

Peter brings lizard back to the sewer after the battle at the school to chat? Then the Indian dude shows up and sprays Peter, lizard eats him? Then the next scene Peter is fine tracking the lizard who he's just had before he transformed? The dumbest thing was Peter had his name on his camera that gave away his identity? Seriously? Lol maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any motivation for conners attacking the city with gas either. What's he doing anyway?

I'm sorry to say, but I was very bored with this and was skipping to the end. I'm Glad that this series will not see any further sequels.

Let me explain myself about the sewers and Connors. The problem was that I tried my best to join the scene where Connors is asking for help, the scene in the sewers and the scene where Peter talks to Gwen by cellphone. In the beginning I had troubles because the scene in the sewers with Connors and the scene in the school were not meant to be joined, but I managed myself to join them in the most coherent way possible. What they wanted in the beginning was to put Peter tracking Connors on the sewers talking to Gwen and THEN he finds him in his lair and the scene happens. The scene where Connors is in the school asking for help was filmed but personally i'm not really sure what were they trying to achieve, because what happens after that scene would transform this into a continuity error. It's possible that they were going in another direction when they began filming this scene. Remember this film also had issues with the studio's vision and the director/screenwriter's vision.

So, in the way I edited it, I wanted to make it look like Peter helped Connors to get to his lab in the sewers, and after Dr. Ratha sprays the serum to Peter and Ratha gets killed by Connors, the Lizard escapes and Peter goes to follow him inserting the scene where he talks to Gwen by phone. The scene with Ratha spraying gas on Peter would explain why in the next scene, Peter is walking slowly: because the gas weakend him.

Connors wanted to spread gas into the city with the Ganali Device because he wanted to transform everyone into Lizard creatures. He explained it before and even in the scene where he is talking to Peter: He wanted to create a world where everyone is equal, evolutioned, better, faster, stronger, with no disseases. The scene is also important because it shows more character development into Connors. Connors wanted first to make a world better but then he became addicted to the Lizard's power, and the he even forgot his original motivation of helping people because of the abuse of power.

Anyways, still thanks for watching.

So in this edit, samspider3 takes 'The Amazing Spiderman' and adds subplots to it with scenes from 'The Amazing Spiderman 2' and well... it acually makes the movie a LOT better! The goal of making one spiderman film which doesn't need any sequels and holds it's own is fulfilled and it is done well. This edit also adds little things like flashbacks and the daily bugle news which I actually really like. Harry plays a good role in the movie by giving Peter more information about his father's work. Deleted scenes and scenes from other movies were seamlessly inserted into the film other than the fact that:

(IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ANNOYED BY CERTAIN PARTS OF THE EDIT THEN DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING: Peter's haircut slightly changes throughout the movie depending on what scene he is in :P)

Audio/Video Quality:
I got the edit in a decent quality, the resolution isn't very high but this did not distract me or bother me in any way. The movie's resolution is constantly the same and the audio sounded fine to me (I didn't notice anything bad)

Visual Editing:
The movie does not have any visual continuity errors that the editor could have helped or fixed, it was good.

Audio Editing:
The audio editing was actually really good, little things like a better spider web sound effect and a consistent ringtone throughout the movie are inserted seamlessly.

The story is very much improved and I like the pace of it, the movie seems a lot slower and I like it, this is supposed to be the origin story of Spiderman and the story of him developing as a person and this edit makes that very clear and executes it very well. Also, the little surprises at the end are neat, I really like the VERY end of the film after the credits, it was a nice little addition. Also I want to add that the new version of Ben's death is much better.

I knew someone would notice the hair hahaha. I actually know about this issue, but what can i say, we can't do too much about that. I was actually more concerned on how to include ASM2 scenes in a coherent way, especially the scene where Peter visits Harry at OSCORP because i had no idea how would i include it without not making so notorious it's an scene from the second film.

One of my biggest goals when i was making this Fan Edit was to include all the important scenes from ASM2 without making the movie necessarily long. I didn't want a Spidey film have a 3 hours length. And this means that I also didn't want to compromise the pace because the first film was perfect in that sense, something the second one, in my opinion failed. So, I tried to include the scenes in a way the movie does not become completely slow, boring and uninteresting at times as the second one.

Thanks for your review and taking your time to review it :D
