Brief Synopsis:
The Godfather Part II Extended Edition follows my extended edition of part 1. The films are presented seprately with the originial credits and scene placement intact. My edit of part II is unique because it retains the non chronolgical timeline of the film the way the filmakers intended. All known footage has been added in highest quality availble.
Intention:
Create a definitive version of the godfather part II that maintains the plot structure of the originial film.
Additional Notes:
Six seconds of footage occurs in this edit at 20:21 that is sourced from an old VHS tape. This footage has never been restored in HD therefore the highest quality that can be used is from home recordings. The footage is very poor in quality but has been included for completion sake.

Godfather II Extended Edition, The - hal_over_9000
Filesize = 10 GB, Video = 1920 X 1080p AVC, Audio = 157 kbps 2-Channel Stereo, AAC. No subs (other than hardsubs when Sicilian is spoken),
For me, the sequel surpassed the original in breadth, as well as depth.
From the Black Hand enforced Sicily of 1901, to Stateside at the edge of the 1960’s.
The missing scenes have been restored and reinserted flawlessly.
I was not avidly “looking” for problems, and I never caught things.
To be honest, I assumed extensions included the Tahoe party and Cuba, but no, those were Coppola’s excesses to the extreme.
Scenes back in were “this n that.” They did not add much to the story, nor did they slow the pace.
As before, many of the conversations are soft or mumbled. Subs.
Running close to four hours, I watched over two nights.
A diehard Godfather fanatic will appreciate and enjoy this more than the casual viewer.

Absolutely phenomenal. I have newfound respect for Part II, I think it's surpassed the first one for me. There was one very brief audio glitch around the 3 hr mark. Other than that, brilliant editing here throughout, I'm honestly unsure of what was added because of how seamless it was. Despite the epic runtime and having already seen the original last year, I was never once bored. There's a lot more depth to the story and characters now. Part II is an all time classic and it's only improved upon by this extended edition.

He's done it again. From a massive godfather fan that also loved this editor's previous extended edition, let me thoroughly recommend this superb edit that gives the original film some amazing additional moments that make it even more interesting to watch.
