Brief Synopsis:

This edit is pretty straightforward:
Create a two episode finale to the Dark Crystal story using the Netflix presentation
Creation of a Netflix style FE logo intro and original series yellow text to match Age of Resistance
Color correction to attempt to match the color of Age of Resistance
Sharpness to make the dated footage look a little more crisp
Creation of closing credits to mirror Age of Resistance

-Removed The Dark Crystal Logo
-Adjusted/masked and/or trimmed some of the ritual of the sun to help eliminate opening credits
+Added AoR music to opening scene
>Adjusted the emperor's voice to match his AoR voice more closely (I'm assuming it's the same Skeksis)
>Added dreamfast vfx
+Created custom credits to match AoR presentation
+Added The Dark Crystal Epic Theme by L'Orchestra Cinématique to ending credits

Lovely colour corrections. Definitely the big appeal of fan edits for me. And the serialization of movies (like this) is just beautifully quaint. It will certainly work better with the prequistite episodes - felt a tiny bit pointless on it own here, but still. Getting the intro build ups is a major part of movies, and its great to get an excuse to slip more into the viewing experience....
If only every FE had tailored disclaimers like this does. Instead of detracting from the enjoyment, the disclaimer is almost the best part!!!

What a great edit! I love The Dark Crystal, and the new Netflix series just increased that love. Going back to the original has its own charm, but I think The Great Conjunction is an incredible presentation of that original film. The new visual effects are seamless, as are the audio changes, and the colour correction throughout creates a truly great watching experience for what was already a truly great film. As a companion piece to Age of Resistance, I think The Great Conjunction is flawless, bringing an older piece into harmony with a newer adaptation.
