Just Awesome... Had to check it out after all the talk, and this edit really makes Salvation a much better, easier to watch film.
The opening, the lame Marcus storyline, Star having everything people needed - All gone.
The color correction is fantastic and really makes the movie look so much better.
I agree with everyone on the plotline of John Connor vs (1) T-800, but like you guys said its out of Agent 9's control, and he did a great job here, so I can't rate him on something he had no control over.
This Edit truly makes the film so much better.... Thx.
Highly Recommended.

Amazing Edit! The color correction alone is a reason to see this one. It looks like the James Cameron movies, with the blue nighttime gradient and greenish tints thorough the film. Kyle Reese storyline is altered, and the action is cut at a real nice pace. Overall, I highly recommend this one.

A much better experience than the original film. It cuts out all the stupid, unnecessary stuff and strengths the film as a whole despite it's fundamental flaws. Marcus' back story is strengthened by actually keeping his identity a mystery from the start and leaving the viewer in suspense as to who he is and why he was created. Unfortunately, there isn't really enough source material to fully support all of the new ideas expressed here, but it's still highly watchable and understandable. This is a huge step towards what the movie should have been from the beginning.

very very watchable, rechnically top notch, very nice quality.

what can i say, fan editor made a bad movie quiet enjoyable
the movie now flows a lot better, pacing is much improved.

sadly, what no fan edit can fix - the stupid storyline that skynet builds one cyborg to find john connor and bring him back to the headquarter.

why not kill him on sight? why have only one t-800 on connor killing duty in a terminator factory?

This is a great fan-fix, and a big improvement over the original.

Agent9's cuts are smart and well integrated, removing a lot of unnecessary filler and keeping the essential throughline of the story. The visual edits are excellent, but special mention must go to the audio work. The integration of music from the first 3 terminator movies is handled very professionally, in terms of balance, removal/masking of the original score, and placement in the film. Fantastic work!

As a film overall, it's still nowhere near as good as the first two, although I much prefer it to the abomination that was T3. The movie takes itself far too seriously, and the references to Terminators gone by ("Come with me if you want to live", "I'll be back") feel very forced. Also, giant plot holes remain intact through no fault of Agent9's (Really? Cybernet sends one Terminator to kill John? In a Terminator Factory?).

I'd say this is about as good as this film can get. Nothing removed from the original cut was missed, and the new music was a nice throwback to Terminator 1&2. Congrats on a great first edit on fanedit.org!
