Have to disclose- I know nothing about editing. Most of this review is my reaction to narrative rather than anything technical.

I really didn't liked T3 the first time I watched it. The ending was great, and the chick Terminator was pretty cool, but my biggest problem with it was the weakness of the John Connor character and the sort of silly, eye-roll inducing lines that were peppered throughout the original.

As far as I could tell, this edit removed both of those problems. The lame jokes are gone, and, somehow, amazingly, unbelievably, I was seriously on board with John Connor this time. The only line that made me cringe this time was "There's enough C4 here to take out ten supa computas." Why, oh why was that left in?

But the action scenes felt more tense, the traveling felt more appropriately paced, the characters felt more Terminator-ish, and overall the movie was just damned fun. And cool. This is the way T3 should have been released. I think that, had this movie been released (barring that stupid supa computas line), the franchise might have lived on in a better form that Salvation.

Only thing that took me out of the movie was the scene in the graveyard where Kate meets her fiance who is actually the chick Term. Felt weirdly rushed and out of place, though I can't remember how the original was.

Anyway, GREAT work. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed T2.

Excellent job, man. Terminator 3 was such a disappointment. The writers must have thought T2 was an action comedy and set out to make T3 just that. The changes you made prove how lazy the writers and director are.

Video quality: Great 5 out of 5

Audio quality: Also great 5 out of 5

Editing 5 out of 5: Impressive. Good job with the spell correction, ha. Love all the little cuts you made. It helped keep the film from becoming ridiculous. And removal of some of the voice-over was good, too.

Original Cut: 3 out of 5

Your Cut: 4.5 out of 5

Overall score: 4.5 out of 5
You’ve definitely made T3 into a better film. Unfortunately, It’s still far from perfect. It’s not your fault, of course.
it’s just that…..you didn’t have much to work with. It would be like trying to save a burnt piece of toast. Won’t matter how much butter you put on it. It’s still burnt.
The story was weak. The new T-X is not as intimidating as the T-800 and the T-1000 even though it’s supposed to be more advanced. The film didn’t have the same
ominous end-of-the-world feel that the 1st two did. The idea of John Connor being killed in 2032 by the T-850 was silly to me. Seemed like an attempt to put the spotlight on the female leads and making Connor seem so insignificant. The filmmakers were SO lazy.

This was the first fanedit I ever watched, and it made me realise what was possible with this artform. The menus are great, the editing is seamless, and it really does deliver on its promise of improving the tone of the movie. Arguably the cuts are not overly ambitious - this still plays like a straight retelling of Terminator 3, but the most offensive moments are gone, and you won't notice the cut lines.

This is a true replacement disk.

The Terminator now acts like a Terminator!!!

First time I saw this at the cinema I actually enjoyed it. Having never had the opportunity to see the originals at the theatre I think I just relished the chance to see Arnie in his most famous role on the big screen. With repeated viewing the novelty wore off pretty quickly.

The fact that Uncanny Antman has improved this film to the point that it can now be considered a legitimate part of a trilogy is an awesome achievement. Cutting out so much material and leaving us with a film that doesn't feel rushed is special editing indeed.

Only nit-pick. Though I understand Antman's reasons for cutting it, I kind of miss John Connor's final line about there role never being to prevent judgement day but to survive it.

Although I didn't mind the original version, it didn't hold the same value to me compared to the first two which are in my top 10 movies of all time. Uncanny Antman has turned a good movie in my eyes into an even better movie as it feels more like the other two movies with the edits that have been made especially the terminator having minimal dialogue which makes it more intimidating and terrifying than before and more how a terminator should act.
