Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds

Another great entry in the Tarantino Tales!
The audio work here is absolutely amazing and the new music is truly inspired.
It gives the movie a completely different energy and yet still feels very Tarantino-ish.
Loved this addition.

There are couple cuts that felt a bit too abrupt. One in particular that cuts away from a subtitle dialogue before being able to fully read it.

With nearly 90 minutes cut, I did find it challenging at times to fully understand/follow all the plot points in the new narrative. And as one would expect, with the story this condensed, the focus is on the Greatest Hits Plot Points, thus some scenes lose their nuances and greater context.

But as alternative viewing experience, this is a great watch! :)

Pretty entertaining spin on one of my favorite films of all time. Didn’t expect Pigs and a lot of David Bowie music featured but it was very cool.

Like the Tarantino Tales concept, can’t wait to see more.

Looked amazing and the soundtrack was perfect! Really enjoy how the story was told and the effective use of flashbacks to avoid any potential plot holes. The music was great and I really love the concept for this show. Great job to @ArtisDead and everyone who helped!

A very strong edit that does cut IG down but still has a mostly cohesive story and highlights many of the strengths of the film. Despite cutting down the scenes majorly, thankfully this isn't distractingly noticeable aside from maybe Bridget's interrogation. Yes Shoshanna's character's backstory is reduced to a flashback but you still get enough of her for her scenes to make sense and Landa still registers as a unique villain. The Bowie songs are fantastically chosen and all fit, with the best one being Psycho Killer in the Bear Jew beatdown which basically makes us see the mindset of the Basterds. Not to mention Changes at the end of the edit was perfect. A shame that some iconic moments aren't in this edit but still very very well done.

Addendum: A few changes were made and upon watching it again, made it absolutely flawless. Great beforehand, perfect now.

This was such an interesting way to view the story of a film I've watched countless times before. I'm honestly amazed what you managed to do here by cutting a two and a half film down to just above an hour.


The only negative for me is well I just really, really love the original film and don't want any scenes removed. But this was fun as hell.
