Brief Synopsis:
11 years have passed since Sarah Connor was targeted by a cyborg from the future. Now her son, John, the future leader of the human resistance, is the target for a newer, more deadly terminator. Once again, the resistance has managed to send a warrior to protect John and his mother. The battle for tomorrow has begun...

This edit adds the scene of the T-1000 searching John’s room into the Special Edition. This scene was included in the Special Extended Edition on the official disc, but you also had to watch the alternate ending to see it. Now you don’t.
Intention:
ADigitalMan created this over a decade ago in October of 2005 and he has since disappeared. I decided I wanted to watch one of his edits in HD, so I made this.
Other Sources:

Special Thanks:
ADigitalMan for creating the original version of the edit back in 2005.

There's no point me rehashing everything in every other review about how good this edit is. However one small complaint, why the editor/s wouldn't use the 2017 Remastered version for the edit is beyond me as it digitally replaces the stuntman's face with Arnold's during the canal chase, like in the following image:

It's so glaringly obvious, it always takes me right out of the moment every time.
If this one small detail could be fixed this edit would be the perfect 10/10.

The theatrical cut, the special edition, and the fourth option of Terminator 2 are all great. I’ve watched the “searching John’s room” scene before, but never in context, integrated into the rest of the film. I love it.

I’ve never understood why this scene was omitted from the special edition. Why put all of the other deleted footage back in, but not this scene?

When I watch an extended edition, whether it’s The Lord of the Rings, Justice League, or Terminator 2, I’m not looking for a fast-paced plot. I have the theatrical cuts for that. I’m looking for theme, mood, atmosphere, and characterization, and that’s what’s present here.

It’s creepy, it develops the T-1000’s character, and Robert Patrick’s performance is fantastic. He plays it like an insectoid serial killer. It’s so surreal and bizarre, it’s like something out of another 1991 thriller, The Silence of the Lambs.

While I do usually prefer the faster-paced theatrical cut, if I’m ever in the mood for a more immersive experience, this is the version I’m going to pick.

This is my go-to version, and the best way to watch one of my favourite movies of all time, because it contains every scene necessary that gives each character their full development arc, and keeps the theatrical ending, which not only feels more in line with the overall tone of the film but also makes more sense, knowing there are sequels to follow, no matter which timeline you choose watch.

Only one minor complaint; the editor/s didn't use the 2017 remastered version for the edit which digitally replaces the stuntman's face with Schwarzenegger's during the canal chase, so in this edit you can clearly see it's not Arnie but the stuntman. Ugh.

This edit is otherwise flawless.

Incredible edit, I can't find a link for it anywhere though. Can I have one so I can watch this again?

I have the Ultimate Edition DVD, and always found it a nuisance to always have to type in the code for the Hidden Special Edition. So this was a welcome sight! Now it's a more complete movie!
