Review Detail

Splendid. The deleted scenes were integrated smoothly, with no audio or visual hiccups. Some extended bits I can see why they were removed, like the Canto Bight or Megadestroyer scenes, but others such as Luke mourning Han or Finn seeing the hologram of Rey I felt should have been included in the movie as they provide context for their characters. The third lesson in particular provides greater context to what Luke was saying about the Jedi, the moment where Rey runs from calling back to Luke running to save his friends in Empire Strikes Back. I wish Finn and Phasma's showdown was included, but I remember it being cut for continuity reasons so perhaps Bobson made the right call. An expanded version of The Last Jedi anyone who liked the movie will like plenty.
