Once again Bobson hits a home run; not just integrating deleted scenes, unused trailer footage and actual footage used in a ps2 game cutscene but doing so in a cohesive satisfying way. There is a happy middle ground between the original cut and throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks and this edit accomplishes it perfectly. While Hal9000 and L8wrtr have created what many regard to be the best edits in terms of 'trimming the fat', this edit is what I consider to be the best at extending the film to its longest possible length while retaining a sensible flow and viewing experience

Only gripe I noticed was the audio in the new Shaak Ti scene sounded a bit different compared to the rest of the film. probably because it was sourced from a different medium

Really appreciated getting to appreciate a richer and more complex version of this story, And the deleted scene restoration job is high quality, A noticeable improvement over the og, and a great time on its own.

A very technically well done edit, though there was a noticeable drop in video quality on a few of the re-inserted deleted scenes, and there were a few noticeable audio/visual syncing issues.

The scenes with the Rebel Alliance senators and Yoda were the best additions to the narrative, as was Liam Neeson's Clone Wars voice cameo. The addition of General Grievous killing Shaak Ti was the only real drawback to the narrative, it created story inconsistencies and slowed down the pace of the Chancellor's rescue.

Overall, a recommended edit for those who want to see the complete "Revenge of the Sith."

I was very excited to watch this since I already consider the theatrical cut of ROTS one of my favorite (Star Wars) movies and love Octorox' approach with his extended cut. While Bobson goes one step further and adds even more scenes (and even finished the VFX for them!), they do not always fit the mood.
*light spoilers for the beginning*: Obi-Wan and Anakin see Shaak Ti getting slaughtered by Grievous and 5 seconds later they're cracking jokes and are strolling through the corridors like nothing happened. Remember the missing tension in the entirety of Episode I? This scene felt exactly like that.

This obviously isn't the editor's fault as his goal was to get Episode III to it's maximum possible length with finished effects. And that he did! I remember watching the deleted scenes off the Blu-Ray once and remembered how raw and unfinished some of them looked. Here most of the effects look like straight from ILM. Amazing work! (there was some audio twitching in the above mentioned Shaak Ti scene but I guess that'll be fixed in future versions).

Quality-wise I'm a fan of edits that make me forget I'm watching a edit and instead make me think I just put the official Blu-Ray in. Otherwise I'll reconsider twice if the theatrical version isn't just enough for my needs. This is the case with this version as for the relatively small file size (about 7gb). But I'll guess that's a decision everyone has to make for themselves.

Bobson Dugnutt's Revenge of the Sith: Expanded Edition is a good edit and definitely reaches the goal it's aiming for (creating the longest possible version with finished VFX). The light mood that is created as a result of this just isn't for me. If you always loved the more lighthearted note of Star Wars then you should absolutely consider checking this out!

As always thanks to the editor for the hard work and sharing it with us! Keep on coming. Like Zarius said before me "Young Bobson, we'll watch your career with great interest".

First of all - thank you for your contributions to the fanedit community!

This fanedit is for those that loved ROTS "as-is" , saw those deleted scenes and now - YOU REALLY WANT those put back into the movie as professionally as possible. This is it!

As I have made a return to the fanedit scene and noticed a new batch of folks using new technology and continuing this fantastic way of watching the movies we purchased and own. Yes, an extended version of ROTS exists made about 10 years ago by ADigitalMAn which I obtained back then and continued to watch it for years. However, when I saw this latest extended cut -- I had to give it a try!

First off - the downloaded version I obtained while it had superior video quality, unfortunately the sound was 2-channel and not surround. I suspect this is because of download size and time constraints. Therefore PLEASE contact me as I want to make arrangements to obtain the MOST SUPERIOR COPY you have - via download or whatever...as I love your fanedit and want to make it part of my collection and show it to other Star Wars fans. The audio and script edits/additions, were amazing and smooth and I totally enjoyed this improvement over my original fanedit.

Let's discuss the Grevious Jedi Slaughter and Elevator Antics addition - my original extended cut put this back in too, but with the unfinished scene of them traveling in the fuel liquid being pursued by droids. While at first I was concerned about this being left out as I was used to it from my original fanedit, after watching this NEW cut - I'm glad you left it out...as with the superior sound and picture, this makes sense and showing the unfinished footage would have been too awkward now!

Therefore, your thought process in making this new extended cut really highlights your upgrades in sound, script, and editing and is impressive! Therefore - I love it and hope you do this with the other Star Wars flicks as well! While there are fanedits that make drastic changes to an original cut - sometimes folks just want those deleted scenes skillfully re-added to make an extended cut and you do it very professionally - please keep it up!
