Technically a well put together edit, and everything removed certainly wasn't missing. What I can remember from Canto Bight is that someone is riding an animal, and that doesn't seem to aid the story. Likewise Poe's Coup d'spaceship. It actually became clear how much stuff in this movie is unnecessary; bravo for making that plain to see. There are too many named characters, weak exposition and pointless words. The movie still suffers from this even after DonKamillo's edit, but now it's almost bearable. I think this edit is superior to the original. Watching the original again is out of the question, for me.

Despite having cut 50 minutes, the narrative still feels coherent. (I'm certain more can be cut...) All the visual trims and rearrangements are done with care. Same goes for the audio editing. DonKamillo has crafted something less boring and tedious out of a boring, tedious and ultimately forgettable movie. Well done!

I truly loved this edit. The ending is exactly how it should have been and this is what I imagined it should have been when I left the theater when i fist saw TLJ. Don't change it!!! LOL

i have no criticisms, but here are some improvements/suggestions if you ever are going to release a version 2, here are my 1 cents worth that would be cool.

1. At the 40th minute (40:20), it would be cool if the next scene cut to the "hall of mirrors" (around 53:50) and mute all her dialogue and let the scene continue until 55:56 and then you cut back to 40:22 where Luke says to her "you went straight to the dark"...this would parallel nicely with Lukes encounter with Vadar in episode 5 when he saw his own face in vadars mask. Rey saw her reflection in the the underground cave, suggestion a reflection of potential darkness....and luke says that she didn't even resist. For me the whole, my parent dialogue doesn't work in the cave but I guess it could be left in suggesting maybe she is willing to use the dark side to get her answers about who her parents are...kind of like "selling ones soul" to get answers. Either one would work.

2. If you follow point number 1, that cave scene has to be removed from 53:23. So basically keep the scene from 51:12 to 53:20 and then jump to 56:11 to make the scene more seamless.

3. Now this would be cool to pull off like Ivan Ortega. I like the idea of a training montage like Ivan did and I wonder if point 1 and 2 are edited in...then you would have to be creative with what remains ...but I think this movie really need that to make Rey training much more believable and powerful from my point of view:

Here is the montage that i like and you can get some idea to incorporate it into your cut. I mean using Reys light saber scene and the scen when she fights Luke. You can find it on Ivan YouTube channel

Rey Actually Trains! (Rey's Training Fixed!!! Part 02)

4. The scene where Luke give the saber back to Rey and Luke saying "I am sorry", is equally as effective as Ivan's version to (Luke Skywalker Doesn't Throw His Lightsaber Away! (FIX UPDATE))

5. 1:32:43...nothing major...but lea is in the wide shot if you look real hard..lol...no a deal breaker.

6. Overall theme, if it could be done...Show luke more as a fallen Jedi rather than "I am hear to die" on the island. Maybe that dialogue can be removed. But i guess your ending shows his redemption. Its a toss up for me.

Conclusion, outstanding Edit !!!!

This is by far the most complete and enjoyable edit to date of this movie. I had to watch it twice, once alone and then again with some family. I couldnt help but smile at the end...finally somebody got it right. It felt like a completely different movie and the xtra garbage scenes that were edited out were some of the same choices I wanted to make if I was to do my own edit. I'm sharing this with everyone I know who had issues with The Last Jedi...a few of them said it couldnt be saved. Boy was they wrong. DonKamillo...I tip my hat to you sir. If we're ever at a pub at the same place all drinks are on me.
SIDE NOTE: I was having issues signing into my KoDomino account so I'm using my Ko_Domino one for reviews.

Having been left feeling very deflated by the Force Awakens I have yet to see another Star Wars film in the cinema. Getting the Blu-Rays and trying to avoid spoilers has been my preferred strategy. When the Last Jedi was released I managed to avoid spoilers, but there was a lot of talk about someone called Rose that I kept seeing on my social media. I get the Blu Ray in March last year and I am aghast at the film. This is supposed to be Star Wars? It took me three attempts to get through the film!

However, having watched Don Kamillo's edit I can say that this is now my go-to version. Don has removed a lot of the rubbish, leaving the story to focus more on Rey and Luke, and to a lesser extent the Rebels' escape. The only real casualty of Don's narrative is Finn, as most of his story is tied up with the worthless Rose (Who thankfully now is more or less an extra). More scenes with Poe are also a bonus (Glad that his "mutiny" scene is gone).

The look and sound of this edit are spot on. The new music additions don't jar, and logos at the start and the end are priceless (They certainly got a laugh when we watched this last night). Thanks to Don for polishing a turd in to what is now a decent film. Also we spotted the Wilhelm scream.

Thanks DonKamillo for sharing your work. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Not going to say any spoilers, but speak in general.

As most people know, TLJ was a real mess. Tons of cringe moments. When I saw there was an Anti Cringe version, had to see it. DonKamillo really got rid of all the cringe moments that were super cringe worthy lol. I was really impressed by how he changed the fate of characters, and the plot. Really cleaned it up big time. Even though it won't continue in whatever happens in the next film, it's still good to have TLJ polished, and to be able to watch this without going WTF.

One thing that I also give props for is the quality of the outputted format. I watch movies that I download with my computer using UMS and connecting Media Player on my PS4. This TLJ: Anti Cringe Cut is 10gb, but plays flawless across my network served to the PS4. There are some fanedits that are under 5gb I have tried to watch that glitch and are unwatchable after a couple minutes. So big ups to DK for nailing that quality.
