I think the audio was a bit lower at two tiny moments of the movie, i don't really remember where, i think it was when luke spoke, other than that a perfect edit.
I never thought i could sort of enjoy this movie, well thanks to don i did, thanks :)

I just watched this yesterday and I can't recommend this enough. It takes a movie, filled with pointless scenes and over-the-top nonsense and turns it into something that's actually quite enjoyable. I've seen a few fanedits of TLJ, but none of them actually got me to enjoy the movie like this one does.
Is it a perfect movie now? Or a perfect Star Wars movie? No.
But it probably is the best you can get with the material there is.

I hadn’t watched the original cut since seeing it in the theater. Every time I started watching it again, I stopped at the cellphone joke.

I think this cut has a really good overall balance of humor, removing quite a bit, but leaving some in. I laughed at the jokes in this cut, possibly because there weren’t as many, and it didn’t feel as forced.

I wanted to list all of the changes I liked about this film, but I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it.

Holdo and Rose have some good moments in their abbreviated appearances. In a different fancut I watched, they were removed completely, and it made the movie worse. They’re not my favorite characters, but I’m glad they’re here. Maybe I would’ve liked to see them a tad bit more even, but I’m being nitpicky. I wish Finn had a few more moments, but it’s impossible to please everyone and make something this coherent. And I really hate that space casino from the original cut, so maybe this is the best option.

The deleted scenes were a surprise and fun. I hadn't seen them, so they felt really fresh. The Rise of Skywalker footage was used nicely too. The ending was nice and felt very Star Wars. Even this footage felt tighter here. Thumbs up.

The editing is mostly seamless. There might be two instances where I felt something might have been missing. But those moments pass fast, when the action picks up.

I really think this might be my favorite version of the film. I liked this a lot. I’m looking forward to watching The Rise of Skywalker Anti-Cringe Cut now too!

Quite the accomplishment. Really make the film cohesive and exciting. Highly recommend.

Only issue was the adding of Sidious at the end of the film. The idea is a great one, however it's too jarring (maybe this is a bias knowing its not originally in it) and possibly too long. Thematically I'd imagine a tease would be more appropriate and accomplished with a voice over or a flash forward or a premonition that is shorter in time but still conveys the same message.

My friends and I came to the TLJ Anti-Cringe Cut after many discussions and debates on how disappointing the original film was - in many ways it was an effort of will to try and forget all of the baffling and obnoxious story/dialogue choices while watching. Thankfully, the Anti-Cringe cut is so well done that this moved to the back of our mind very quickly. We all agreed that this edit significantly improves on the narrative structure and tone of the story, even if some choices seem like they will make it almost impossible to marry up with The Rise of Skywalker (note: we haven't yet watched DonKamillo's RoS Anti-Cringe Cut yet).

Personally, the most significant improvements are in the ordering and timing of Rey's journey with Luke, and the entire Leia storyline. Admittedly there wasn't much to work with in the original, but DonKamillo has somehow constructed a much more satisfying arc for both characters - for Rey, the training storyline is much more reasonable and feels like a slightly more protracted version of Luke's time with Yoda in Empire, while for Leia simply removing the famously cringe space scene in favour of a dramatic early exit helps immensely. One funny note is that removing the entirety of Rose & Finn's Canto Bight storyline didn't feel like anything was missing at all (apart from a slightly jarring reminder they existed come the finale).

All in all this was an amazing piece of work and really explores what could have been with TLJ. Hats off to DonKamillo, incredible work.
