Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise Of Skywalker: Ascendant

While it's probably to fix Rise of Skywalker, no matter how much effort is put in, I think these edits are the closes anyone's able to get. For the record, I had watched the Rey Nobody version of this edit

The edit gets rid of alot of the weird moments from the original and you can tell that alot of effort went into making sure events play out, still make sense, and aren't jarring to watch. I love the smaller changes like the addition of new shots, created specifically for this edit, and other details that don't change how the events of the film play out but just enhance them. I get that I'm being really vague but I really don't want to spoil anything and want you to experience it all for yourself.

Fantastic edit that has passion and effort dripping from every surface. The best way to watch the Rise of Skywalker, hands down!

While this doesn't completely fix the movie it makes it better by cutting out the awkward moments and giving a sense of coherency to the trilogy(the alternate cut) I prefer the alternate rey nobody version so I would recomend you watch the alternate edit as opposed to the regular edit. also i love the extra cgi. the ghosts, the opening and many more.

Finally the last one, the end of my HAL9000's SW marathon.

On a pure editing and technical level, this is really impressive and can't be praiseed enough. From the force ghosts, to the SFX add-ons, and scenes ajustements. Everything works great, pretty stunning work from everyone involved.

On the other hand, it's by FAR the weakest SW in my opinion. The story doesn't make sense (looks a like a bad video game side quest), there's a lack a tension and epic scenes especially considering it's last one. Everything is written in reaction to the previous one, so it ruins the trilogy continuity...

You've done great work, as always, but I think this one can't really be saved, just better. Unlike the prequels (contained great stories but badly highlighted), it is a mediocre movie and a bad SW in his very core,

If I had to watch it again, you edit is clearly the way to go. But I don't think I will.

This review comes after two weeks of binge-watching your 10 fanedits (Rogue One included). And I can't thank you enough for all your hard work enhancing and sometimes saving thoses great childhood memories.

Your work is from now on, my official Skywalker Saga. Can't wait to watch them again.

Superbly done in a technical sense, and it makes almost every improvement possible to what was - narrative-wise and pacing-wise - the weakest of the sequel trilogy. Won't be watching the original version anymore - this one is the business.
