This is the special edition we deserved and this guy alone managed to do justice for what George Lucas did (and didn't do) this all time classic; granted, a couple of shots are clearly 2D images and some musical tracks feel a bit out of place, but for the most part it's an astonishing work.
Bravo!

It's been awhile since I watched this, but wanted to go back and give it the high marks it deserves. The changes are so seamless that they were invisible to those in my watch party who weren't already Star Wars fanatics.

At first I thought this was going to be a fan-edit with some better effects and little else, I'm glad I believed that, because I was incredibly surprised. Star Wars Revisited is my new favorite way to watch Star Wars, it's amazing that a man/woman in 2008, using the 2006 Special Edition DVD made this amazing fan-edit.

I know the quality is only 480p, and sometimes I'm a little "picky" about that, but I have to admit that the quality was excellent for what it was, and both my dad and I had no complaints about the video quality.

The new special effects are amazing, plus other changes like the battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, or the ship scene on the Death Star.

I haven't seen The Empire Strikes Back Revisited yet (so far, I already have it downloaded), and I already know it's going to be excellent. I hope Adywan continues with this wonderful project, and if you are reading this, I can't wait to see Star Wars Revisited HD and Return Of The Jedi Revisited.

10/10.

Honestly felt like I was rewatching the movie for the first time during my viewing. This edit allows the original story to shine while including appropriate modernization with tact. Weirdly enough, one of my favorite changes was the edits made to the obi wan and vader duel. Nothing over the top was done, but it made it feel much snappier while keeping the mood of a tense showdown. Only change I didn't love was removing the shockwave ring from the explosion of the deathstar, but if I'm going to count that as a serious complaint then it's clear that you'd have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find any critiques. Would highly recommended for anyone, especially if you want to introduce a new audience member to the franchise.
