Took me a while but I finally watched this. VERY impressive. Not only did the editor make these 3 films work as a single movie but also made it a very enjoyable experience. It's a bit tiring to watch because of its long runtime but it didn't feel too slow at any point. The audio editing is basically flawless and the visual editing is very competent (a lot of fade to blacks though, but maybe there was no other way).

The back and forth between the scenes from Unbreakable and Split works well to build anticipation for when these characters finally meet and after that it's basically a better version of Glass. Unbreakable and Split were already good movies but Glass was very disappointing when I first watched it. This edit improves it greatly, although it still couldn't make the ending good (but that says more about how awful the original ending was).

Overall, it's quite the achievement. Might become my default of watching the trilogy if I want to watch it all the way through

This is a tremendously remarkable achievement in editing. I will try not to spoil anything, but let's say that the new structure works wonders and the way the reveals are placed make the whole thing less about "what's the secret behind these people" and more like "what is all of this building up to". More suspense than surprise. And the amount of work that went into it is simply gigantic: won't say where, but some shots that can appear to come untouched right from the source if you haven't seen the movies before or aren't fresh in your mind, have a LOT of work behind them to get them right. And yes, it's long, but the pacing never suffers because of it, and it's all worthwhile. The only downside is that a few of my problems with the theatrical Glass stay here (already discussed and reasoned with the editor), but even those bother me less here than in the official version. Highly recommended.

That’s very kind of you and I’m so pleased you enjoyed it. I’m especially glad you appreciate the invisibility of what on the face of it can appear simple, but was anything but. I still wish I’d had more material to play with, but it is what it is.

Frankly, I'm stunned. I remember finding the forum thread for this project and thinking "There's no way this is going to work." IMO, movie mashups rarely work as well as intended; they're sometimes fun, but often they almost never feel like a cohesive whole. But in this case, I could not have been more wrong. It helps that the films combined here are from the same director with a distinctive visual style, but this is some truly masterful work from Wraith combining them into what actually feels like a single narrative. I wasn't really a fan of these movies on their own. Of the three, I prefer Split (since I'm a horror head), but even that was a lot of time to spend in a pretty gross situation. But Unbreakable was so slow and dour, and Glass just did not work at all for me. This, though? This rules. I doubt I'll ever watch the original films again since tells the story of the trilogy in a much more satisfying way. It's largely the same, btw. There are some changes and some surprises for sure, but I don't think it radically alters the bones of the story Shyamalan was trying to tell. Even if you are a fan of the original films in their entirety, though, I think you'll still get something out of this. It truly is a masterclass in editing, and the graph for where to put all these elements in the edit must have been labyrinthine.
Yes, it's non-linear, and yes, it's broken up into "chapters." Again, I wouldn't expect to work, and it's a testament to how much thought and care Wraith put into this that it works as well as it does, which is very well indeed. Not once did it feel disjointed, and that's a bit of a miracle. Early on in the edit, I noticed a shot was slowed down, which I found a little distracting, but then it kept happening, and it started to feel like a stylistic choice, one that gives the film (along with some subtle score work) a kind of Lynchian quality that matches quite well. I hesitate to say more because I don't want to ruin any surprises, but suffice it to say that this should be essential viewing for anyone truly interested in fan-editing. It's one of the best (and most-labor intensive) I've ever seen. Get the full-resolution version if you can; it's top quality, and I noticed no issues with the audio or video.

I have just spent the last 3 and a half hours watching this fan edit from start to finish and I couldn't stop watching... it got to 45 minutes left... and I refused to even pause it because I wanted to see how this played out!

Brava Wraith! This was an impressive feat to say the least!

The editing in this is PHENOMINAL. I loved how all 3 films were interwoven together and nothing felt out of place and it definitely did not feel like 3 and a half hours!

I keep watching fan edits and this by far is the most impressive to me. I will always rate how well they are edited considering editors have footage that is already pre-composed and may have audio in them, and while I thought I could hear 2 audio tracks in certain parts, I still couldn't be sure and it most certainly did not effect my enjoyment of this edit at all!

I would 100% recommend watching this edit! Thoroughly enjoyed and will most definitely be having a watch party showing people this!

Thank you for an amazing job well done!

What a blast ! Rediscovering the trilogy as one giant masterpiece is by far one of the best viewing experiences a had. There is no flaws in editing, the movie is so smooth that I didn't even feel the 3h and half. Well done!
