After much hype, and after going through the trouble of owning M. Night Shyamalan's "trilogy," and finding three and a half hours to spare, I finally had the pleasure of watching what is unofficially becoming one of the best fanedits out there. I'm not sure if this edit lived up to the hype I had, but there's no denying how ambitious this edit was.

My issues are mostly minor technical ones. An occasional technical glitch in the audio might occur. A couple of visual transitions felt off. And there is one scene that occurs in the first hour or half hour that I think could've been left out, but I can't remember which scene it was (hey, it was 3 1/2 hours after all. I can't remember every scene after 160 minutes). I also kinda wished the explanation at the end for how Elijah got the footage sent out wasn't cut, but I'm also reluctant to make that criticism, as the editing for the final scene was so good that I think adding the explanation back in would affect that moment for the worse.

A lot of those nitpicks aside, I still loved this edit. And regardless of what my feelings for the edit were, I still have to place a lot of emphasis on the word, "ambition." Because I can't think of another fanedit out there with this much of it. Not only in its non-linear narrative, but in how the three movies are put together. The way the film goes back and forth between Unbreakable and Split for the first half, only to wind up with most of Glass for the second half. The way the edit sets up all three characters, only to bring them all together into the asylum. The way the setup for this edit fixes up most of the problems with the last film. Whether it's my favorite fanedit or not, I'm taking notes from it.

Split Unbreakable Glass is a highly motivated little edit that should be required viewing for anyone who wants to try their hands at being a faneditor. Highly recommended, especially for the more academic among us.

Unbreakable, Split, and Glass have great ideas but they suffer from scenes that drag, over explanations and awkward pauses to the point that each one of them can be reduced significantly, but there is a wonderful story to tell, it is almost like these films request a fan edit. It would be a challenge however to keep the heart and soul of those movies by editing them.

Thus we get 2 fan edits - SUG and UGS and you will get more enjoyment from these films by watching one of these fan edits/
But which one to pick

SUG (This Edit) has the superior narrative but UGS is more enjoyable and better edited.

SUG tells the story from each character's perspective a good idea but the scenes from Unbreakable can't match those of Split and Glass, also this would be a long edit in order to save all the important emotional character moments 3.5 hours long which still makes the film drag not to mention there are scenes with obvious cut.

It's good but it could be better, also the opening is fantastic.

If you like slow-paced and character-focused stories also you don't mind the awkward transitions this is the edit for you.

Wraith did something absolutely remarkable with this edit. An instant classic fanedit.

First, the film is all about a dark and rising tension, then it descends into doubts and madness as the three main characters become trapped. This in-turn sets the stage for a jail-break with super-villainous intent. But Dunn has his gift and a poncho to dawn. And throughout all this, Casey comes to know that their gifts are not just fantasy, nor are her own, as the Horde and Mr. Glass go on a rampage.

The opening credits are amazing. This is S tier editing of video and audio. In terms of flow and pacing, they're perfect. This is a powerhouse of an edit. The tension is relentless. The time and effort put into this makes it a wonderful piece of art. There is not a scene that felt forced, unwarranted, or superfluous, because every scene has it's purpose throughout the edit and leads in-step with next. The ending of the edit is sad, story wise. Not a problem of Wraith's. I had just hoped for a more uplifting ending, but it fits with the dark undertone throughout the films.

I watched SUG 6.05PRF

I'm relatively new to the world of fan edits & this is my first review of one. With that said, I can't even begin to imagine the time Wraith spent on not just all of the editing, but creating the narrative for this edit as well. The only word I can think of the describe this film is AMAZING! If you are a fan of these 3 films, you will love what he has done to transform them into one film. If you liked the first 2 films, but didn't care too much for Glass, I think this edit will change your mind. The only somewhat "negative" thing I can say, which has already been said, is that it is very long.... but when you're working with 3 films and want to create a complete story, it's gonna take some time to tell it. Thank you Wraith for creating such a wonderful edit & for sharing it with me!

Thank so much for that especially acknowledging the narrative planning which took many many weeks before I even began the edit process. I pleased you enjoyed it and welcome to our crazy creative community.

I really enjoyed this edit, it was done very well. I really like Unbreakable and Split, but I did not like Glass at all. This edit still had some of my issues with Glass, but for the most part the elements from Glass were a major improvement. Very well done, especially considering you can only work with you've got. Nice job Wraith.
