This was a very nice edit by Masirimso17. A real enhancement of a movie I liked made even better.

It was an excellent decision to remove instances of Aunt May being an object of desire. I always liked her character in the mold of protecter and leader in the mold of her previous iterations in the Spiderman universe as opposed to having various men ogling over her. I thought some of the cuts to other very awkward humor were proper and warranted.

I really liked the addition/creation of the new Uncle Ben scene. It helped enhance the narrative in a positive way. However, it did not feel as it flowed naturally within the movie. It seemed noticeable like it was an added extra. The movie is still better with it than without.

The cuts and rearrangements in this edit really hit home Peter's growing up and becoming responsible. In that regard, the editor succeeded in the stated intent to hammer in this point. On that account, my enjoyment was hindered by watching the portrayal of immature high school students. This is not the editor's fault as it is an integral part of the narrative to demonstrate the growth of a teenager. This type of content can aggravate me personally.

I also personally liked the additions of the musical score from previous Spiderman franchises that added a flair of nostalgia. Normally, I am against nostalgia-baiting, but it worked here as it fit the flow of the movie.

I want to thank the editor for sharing this edit with me. It was personally enjoyable. I recommend this edit for others who want an enhanced, but not radically restructured version of this movie.

My preferred edit of Homecoming. Cuts are unnoticeable, it and sounds looks crisp, and the additions made improved upon the original, The Iron Man 3 themes were welcome, but I loved the way the responsibility theme was incorporated into scenes, used appropriately to give more weight to Peter's decisions. Even the small flashback to Uncle Ben helped crystallize what the editor said the film kept vague, the need to Peter's want (as an aside I love how the editor chose to use Peter's own words describe the situation rather than have the direct Great Reponsibility quote). The only reason the visual editing isn't a ten is because I noticed a very brief frame right after Peter's flashback and the school deleted scene could have been color corrected more, but this is still a worthwhile, fantastic edit,

This edit is great!

My biggest gripe with the original film is the lack of consequences, but this edit remedies that!

A couple scenes that were edited in weren't color balanced to the rest of the film that well, and I thought the removal of the aunt may jokes and the porn joke was unnecessary, they were quick bumps that gave the movie heart. But the editing of the flashback and the elfman theme, sublime choice, maybe a little thick with the TASM scenes but the flashback with the quote
"If you can do good things, but you don't, and then bad things happen, they happen because of you." brilliant. We need more elfman theme in homecoming

Preparing for No Way Home, I decided to give this edit a try, see a different editor's perception of the film.

This was quite a surprise, with the removal of some jokes that didn't land and details that dont really amount to anything this is a very streamlined viewing of Homecoming.

The new scene created for this edit was really well done, during the lowest point of Peter's situation, a masterclass of the title of the edit.

This edit may not change anyone's opinion of MCU Spider-Man, but it does make it a much more grounded film, with the empahis of using one's power responsibly.
