Hello, this is a take on Raimi's Spider-Man 3 that is far superior to the theatrical release.

Cheesy dialogue is drastically reduced, and the story is more consistent and mature this way.

You will not be thrown out of the experience by any shameful piece of dialogue or senseless storylines.

The HD remaster is delightful. And the little touches added, here and there, are really good.

I only had one more wish:
- that Sandman was removed from the final scene. We don't really need a forced team up between Sandman and Venom now. Venom alone is enough to be a menace, and they (Brock and the Symbiote) can be enough to get to MJ or to kill Harry.
- the last time Spidey sees Sandman could be when they fight in the underground, and the fact that Sandman survives could easily be a post-credit scene.

PS: I did this changes in a fanedit of Spider-Man 3 that I tried to do, but it did not get approval because of its poor audio and video quality, which I agree!
:-D

All in all, great fanedit, great remaster, much better than the original, thank you!

Don't take my dropping a point off for narrative and enjoyment as a sight against the editor, but the movie it's self. This is far better than what we got as an official release and is my go to when watching the trilogy.

Aah...Sam Raimi's Spidey trilogy, the Spider-Man I grew up with. And also, what a joy it was to see Toby's comeback in No Way Home! I loved the first two movies, it was one of this rare situations were the sequel surpasses the original. But after the huge success of Spider-Man 2 the studio had to get their greedy hands on the third one and make it an absolute mess. I was really disappointed when I first saw it and that disappointment would actually grow in future revisits of the film (yes I've seen it lots of times!). My enjoyment factor ended up in around 4-5.

Regarding the technical aspects of this edit, it is absolutely great! I could not spot or even get a sense that any given scene was tampered with, so excellent job in this area! And also great job on the remaster aspect of this edit.

When it comes to the narrative, the trimming of emo dancing, silly dialogue and other unnecessary scenes was more than welcome and it made the film seem more focused in general and specifically with the "fall" of our hero to the dark side. Alas, I just still couldn't enjoy the film as much as I'd like to, not after seeing what the director could do with the two previous installments. It still feels that they are trying to cramp a million things in a single movie and not successfully.

Overall though, I think this edit is definitely worth a try for any fan out there who just wants to salvage the end of the Raimi-Spidey trilogy.

Thanks to everyone who read my review and an extra thanks to Badscooter and RogueVader1996 for all their hard work!

This remake is in superb A/V quality (20GB file size) and is very well edited. I recommend replacing your copy with this one if you're a fan of Badscooter's original.

Heavens above, I cannot stress enough how much of a technical upgrade this is from Badscooter's original edit. And I'm not simply referring to the resolutions of video and audio either, although it's needless to say that it's a vast improvement going from highly-compressed SD to AVCHD.

No, the improvements I'm referring to are technical upgrades to visual or audio choices Badscooter made the first time around. There's really no significant changes from the original in terms of editing decisions, they're just executed with better technical finesse in this edition. For instance, lengthening the pause between the opening credits and the fade to the (new) opening scene. In the original, the audio faded to silent rather jerkingly as the visuals faded to a still frame, then hard cut into the audio from the intro. Here, RogueVader improves the technical execution of this by slightly increasing the length of the transition; a slower fade, which gives the music time to naturally conclude before transitioning into another scene.

He also does things like remove or replace rough text/title graphics Badscooter originally made in 2008, that don't match the visual quality of the source film's CGI or title fonts at all. Essentially RogueVader recreates the same exact visual choices, but with better technical execution and production standards than would have been possible in 2008. Therefore, my ratings are the same as they were on the original edit HOWEVER with the ratings increased to a 10 on all visual/audio categories.
