Brief Synopsis:
Peter Parker is beset with troubles in his failing personal life as he battles a brilliant scientist named Doctor Otto Octavius.

An edit of the already amazing Spider-Man 2.1 to fix some of the less than great alternate scenes added to the extended cut of the film.
Intention:
2.1 was stellar as it was with the added moments such as JJJ in the Spidey suit and the more brutal train fight, but there were 2 moments I felt that were worse than the theatrical cut, so I thought I'd simply fix them by cutting them back into the film.
Other Sources:
Spider-Man 2.1 (2007) for the majority of the film with the theatrical Spider-Man 2 (2004) being used for 2 scenes.
Release Information:
Digital
Special Features
- Unused 2.1 Scenes (with optional commentary by writer Alvin Sargent and producer Laura Ziskin)
- Deleted and Alternate Scenes
- Editor Bob Murawski talks Deleted Scenes
- Inside Spider-Man 2.1 (Elevator Clip)
- Spider-Man (2002) Recap as taken from the Spider-Man 2 TV Cut
Cuts and Additions:
- Replaced Mr Aziz's "Go!" with the theatrical "GoOoOO!"
- Replaced the Hal Sparks elevator scene with the shorter, less cringey theatrical version

I grew up watching both the theatrical cut and 2.1, but I always preferred 2.1 because of the added JJ scenes. About a year ago I revisited 2.1 with my dad and we both agreed the elevator sequence was far better in the theatrical version. This edit addresses that problem, creating the definitive version of Spider-Man 2! My only issue with this edit is a slightly noticeable jump cut before the elevator scene.

Well, with the release of the NWH trailer, decided to revisit the Raimi trilogy today and went with the 2.2 version (Just the extended cut with two scenes from the Theatrical cut).

It's a small cut, but it's easily the best version of the film. The additions from the original Extended cut are kept while it's....lesser parts are replaced with the original superior ones. Quality was great, although there was one visual hiccup but it wasn't that jarring.

Overall, congratulations on Bobson on making a grand fanedit. Definitely the version I'll go to when I want to see the film.

When I first watched the 2.1 edit I loved it except for the elevator scene. Then I found this edit which just solves this problem perfectly. That's all I have to say really! Does the job.

Great edit! The only issue I had, idk if its even on you, was this strange water ripple transition. I think the only way to edit this movie to be any better would be reduce the amount of screaming by like 50%. The first 2 arcs feel slow too if theres any way to fix that. Keep up the great work!

By addressing just those two moments, the already-fantastic extended edition is perfected even further. This'll be my go-to version from now on. Highly recommend this fanedit.
