MAY
A straight-to-the-point of edit. May is a pretty funny, dark and gruesome horror film, and certainly underrated. This edit retains the humour and darkness of the original buts adds a new score and overall feels a bit lighter. Higher paced but coherent. Cuts were well chosen and seamless.
Critiques: music at 27, 29 and 43mins is slightly too loud, it's a bit hard to hear the dialogue.
It's not shown how are May's eyes are bloodied. I understand removing the blind children subplot, but this scene probably should have also been cut.
Overall: a very tight edit that I recommend fans of the original, and horror fans in general, give a watch. May is a true psycho. Reminds me of a girl I knew in uni. Now onto American Psycho 2 and "Rachel".
