Prometheus – Special Edition

I liked Agents 9's take on Prometheus. The TED Talk intro is always a welcome addition to any Prometheus Edit. The faster paced story line, the removal of unneeded, unnecessary and unwanted secondary character development is a relief.

I have a difficult time in coming up with anything negative to say about this Edit. My biggest complaint as with other edits of Prometheus really isn't the Fan Editors fault. I really really hate that so many characters are introduced so late in the film. The Theatrical Cut suffered from this also. So again I can't really blame Agent 9.

Agent 9 you created a great Fan Edit and this version has made it's way into my Prometheus Blu-Ray Amaray for many more viewings.

i hadnt gotten around to watching the bluray when i saw this fanedit on fanedit.org

maybe it was the 3D, but i couldnt tell any deleted scene from the rest of the movie
basically to me, this IS the movie...and it is something else, i will tell you

the only part i could tell is the beginning sequence seemed like added 3D, but thats alright...was well done

this is a true emotional ride, and seemed like a real Alien movie to me :-)

P.S. that list of cuts/additions at the end was mind-boggling...no idea how you guys do this :D

This edit is great stuff... it takes a movie that I was looking forward to so much and delivers the satisfaction I should have felt when I saw the theatrical cut in the cinema! This is now my go to copy and my blu-ray will forever be gathering dust!

Masterful editing, and brilliant integration of the deleted scenes. Prometheus now FEELS like a member in the Alien franchise which is what I was originally hoping for. Agent 9 has done a fantastic job!

I was astounded at how well this repaired some of the erratic narrative beats in the Theatrical cut, considering the limited amount of footage available. Highly enjoyable, though I agree with a couple of the other reviewers that Fifield and Milburn are cut a little more than may have been necessary.

Nevertheless, this edit is quite impressive - especially considering some of the unfinished effects shots were completed. This is one of the best versions of this film I have seen to date. Agent 9, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I watched this edit again recently and felt I had to add another review.
Agent 9 has done some fantastic work adding in deleted scenes even going so far as completing the SFX on some which still required wire removal etc. The video quality is excellent.
I too felt that Fifield and Milburn receive more cuts than they deserved, their leaving the exploration team was so abrupt I actually said "What?" out loud.
I still feel the musical score was very overwhelming in some places, occasionally drowning out the characters or effects, but other than that there are no obvious audio flaws,
These gripes aside, I still enjoyed the edit far more than the original, and enjoyed it as a fanedit even more the second time around.
