Passengers: Aurora

I already liked this movie but this edit just brings it to a next level.

Good edit! I really like the concept.

Even though I still hold Passengers outside of my esteem, the edit was a surprisingly pleasant watch and a coherent self-contained tale of spacefaring sci-fi, which I'm always up for.

Editing is solid and AV is pretty good. Logo cards and all that stuff are very slick and tasteful.

As for narrative, I definitely felt that the shifted perspective was the only way to tell a compelling story with the source material.

I think that this edit would've been perfect if there'd been more footage to work with. It was executed as flawlessly as it could be. But, it was just lacking... Something. I don't know what. But something. I do know that I don't blame the editor for it, though.

I liked the Theatrical Cut, but something felt off about it. I was not the only one, as it seems, and some very creative people suggested this well deserved and logical flip in perspective (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gksxu-yeWcU). I was curious to see how the movie actually feels now, and the answer is simple - Macmilln's Aurora Edit is a significant improvement over the TC. Highly recommended!

The edit is visually stunning, and I simply loved it. The characters felt more relatable, the reveal a lot more satisfying, and the narrative flows more sensibly. Well done! Definitely my go-to version of this film.
