Outstanding edit, the kind of idea that I wish I had come up with myself. The Truman Show is already a brilliant film in its original version, but I think this reimagining may be even better. Not only is it more intriguing, but also more arty and less conventionally Hollywood in its presentation. It brings Hitchcock to mind, all right, but also David Lynch: I don't know if this was intentional, but the way Christof's scenes are presented in this one reminded me a lot of the Fireman's Palace in Twin Peaks: The Return, particularly his (Christof's) introductory scene.

Loved the approach, loved the visual style, loved the use of the Herrmann music, loved the Vertigo-homage credits. All extremely creative. 10/10 across the board.

I loved this version, I hadn't seen the movie for a long time and I decided to see it again in this edit, and I loved it. One of the best I've seen.

Truly, this edit is amazing. I love the allegory of Plato's Cave. I love Hitchcock. I love The Truman Show.
The new color grade, plus black & white shots, with the added Psycho score really ratchets up the tension and anxiety of this film that the original film doesn't have like this does. It's amazing what a great selection of music can do for an edit.
Most of the humour that remains is like Truman trying to laugh off the situation still, further ratcheting up the anxiety. Carrey does a wonderful performance.
This is just about as perfect of a fanedit as you can make in my opinion. This is easily a favourite of mine now. The original film is one of my best friend's favourite movies. I need to show him this version.
I like to think Hitchcock himself would like this fanedit.
On a technical level, the Video and Audio quality is spot on. Again, the score is perfect and everything feels and flows wonderfully.
Bravo Paulisdead2221.

Extremely, extremely impressive. The amount of work that must've gone into this is insane - nothing is left untouched. This is what a true fanedit is, a completely transformative work of art. The video editing, the change in narrative & tone, the audio editing & rescoring, are all really well done. A very original concept, with a lot of imaginative changes. The tone has been completely changed to match that of Hitchcock's films. It's also paced very well. I won't go into specifics because this deserves a watch by anyone who's interested in fanediting and the potential it has.

Paul is very much alive, and I hope he gives us a couple more like this and the Silent Film Version of Dracula.

This was an amazing, transformative fanedit that takes the original source material and creates an entirely new aesthetic and feel to the film. I would have LOVED to have seen this without ever having seen the original, because THIS is how I would have loved to experience the original film.

Perfectly edited, the soundtrack was fabulous, and the tension was real. Impossible to tell this was a fanedit if you had not watched the original.
