I want to say that for 99% of the edit, I loved it. Then the ending came. In the theatrical cut of Covenant, David has the A.I. play Richard Wagner's Entry of the Gods into Valhalla. It's a significant piece for David as it is the piece Weyland has him play in the beginning. It's quiet though signifying that David is still the creation, but at the end of the film David becomes the creator and the full orchestra is playing. The edit replaces this with Carry That Weight, a good song, but it doesn't have any story importance. Everything else from the edit is brilliant. It adds and removes the perfect amount and it's just brilliantly edited by someone who respects the subtext of these films.

I've only seen the source movies once each, and with that in mind, this edit is better than both combined :P I love the story of David, and how they are the main antagonist, but also asking philosophical questions about creation. Cannot recommend this enough as a superior cut, its thought provoking, engaging, and really slims the narrative to something interesting

Nothing much really needs to be said about this edit other than it's another fantastic interwoven narrative from the mind of JobWillins. I'm convinced this man/woman is the brainchild of Ridley Scott because he/she has crafted better Alien narratives then the man himself.

WOW! What else can I say?! What a picture. Keep in mind I have not seen Covenant, and I had only seen Prometheus a few months after it's release, but what I watched may just be my new favourite film. JobWillins has done an excellent job of weaving two narrative pieces into one in a way that is both thematically and narratively enticing. The way the film switches between the perspective of The Covenant and The Prometheus creates an engaging journey that will leave you on the edge of your seat. In my opinion, this not only a superb fanedit -- and film of it's own right, but it allows for David to shine in his own spotlight, outside of the overshadowing glow of the Alien films, and in my opinion, is possibly the most fun I have had watching a film from this franchise. 10s all around, what a great job. I would recommend this to friends, I would also recommend they put this on the shelves and in cinemas.

I am a huge fan of the two Alien movies but have not cared for another one since.

I had high hopes for Pandora when I watched it in theaters, and while there were definitely things I liked, it just fell flat. I didn't understand some of the mythology, or why it was included in the movie. Some things seemed connected to Alien lore, some didn't. I felt there were a lot of unnecessary scenes, and severe pacing and continuity issues. It was a genuinely frustrating experience.

After Pandora, I almost didn't watch Covenant. When I finally did watch it, I turned it off around the half-way point. Same problems as Pandora and the lore continuity issues were made even worse.

It always irritated me that an IP with such a solid start (the first two movies) was mishandled time, and time again. Thank God for fan editors.

Paradise not only salvaged both films but also creates consistent lore: Paradise -> Alien -> Aliens -> Ripley (another fan edit).

Alien was the first horror movie I was allowed to watch on cable TV as a kid, and it blew my mind. Later, I remember going to the theater intending to see some other movie I don't remember, then seeing Aliens on the marquee. I wasn't old enough to get in, but the alien queen herself couldn't have stopped me. I bought a ticket for some PG movie, and promptly switched theaters. Then did it again the next weekend.
These movies were a part of my childhood, and now I have FINALLY been able to watch more satisfying installments to the franchise.

A huge thank you to the fan editor. It's a damn shame some of these beloved IPs are ruined by studios, but at least they are fixed now.

Highly recommended.
