Top notch edit which takes a fine movie and makes it really good, in my opinion. I bought Oblivion when it first came out on Google, started watching it twice, fell asleep (there may or may not have been adult beverages involved) and then forgot it existed for a long time. I downloaded Beezo's edit a while back and finally gave it a whirl. I'm really glad I did; I can recommend this edit to just about anyone into sci-fi. This is now a pretty good movie. I went back and watched the theatrical after and enjoyed it far less. A bunch of minor annoyances add up to a far worse experience.

A/V Quality: 10 - Looks fantastic and crisp. This is really a gorgeous movie and the edit looks great.
Visual Editing: 10 - Great work, cuts were seamless.
Audio Editing: 9 - Nothing jarring, seamless work. The score did occasionally overwhelm but it sounded pretty similar in the theatrical (though I had to watch it on my tablet so it's hard to compare).
Narrative: 9 - Original would be a 6. By removing unnecessary information and nipping and tucking little moments galore Beezo has made for a much stronger narrative. The viewer is genuinely surprised at some plot points which are pretty much telegraphed in the opening voiceover. The plot isn't hard to follow, it's more showing than telling (rewatching the original made my head hurt how they overexplained everything to death with lots of superfluous, bad dialogue. By reducing some Tom Cruisey moments (which admittedly, I love but belong more in different movies - looking at you motorbike jump) and reducing his inner dialogue we are left with the actor doing some great pensive acting. It shines through here instead of feeling dumb with his inner voice. Looking back on the voiceover parts, sure, you can see it as visuals that look like a voiceover is happening. But without that knowledge, its' just a great sweeping intro to the world, and thoughtful finale. I'm only giving it a 9 because of a couple extremely minor plot things which I never would have noticed if Beezo hadn't pointed them all out in his audio commentary. :)
Enjoyment: 9 - Damn good movie, this edit will completely replace the theatrical for me. Great job.

Minor quibble: The blu-ray menu is mapped oddly. Instead of up and down going up and down between the two options, down is down and then right or left is back up. From there, the other direction goes back down. Easy to get past without issue but thought I'd mention it (there was a similar thing on the Blade Runner blu-ray menu IIRC).

EDIT: Forgot to mention the commentary track, which was a real delight to listen to. Beezo explains his intentions behind each cut, and explains his process behind each and every cut (which was a ton more than I would have thought but all the nips and tucks really add up to a significantly improved experience). I would highly recommend listening to everyone interested in fanediting or who is already editing.

Quite a solid edit, though I think a little more could have been cut (for starters I've done away with the entire epilogue). Beezo clearly likes this movie more than I do, I feel like it's just another blockbuster, not a terrible one but not particularly memorable, and quite déjà-vu all the way. But in any case, this cut is preferable to the original and less dumb. If you like the theatrical cut, you'll love this edit. If you don't, the edit isn't all that different and might increase your appreciation for the movie just a bit.

Video editing is flawless, audio editing is very good too considering the difficulty of cutting around the music in some places. The only slightly off edit happens at 1:06:32, during the canyon chase, when it cuts from a closeup of Olga's to one of Cruise's right before hiding behind a waterfall, but it's only the fact that the music beat is a tiny bit off that gives it away, otherwise the transition is well done.

I watched the DVD-5 version, quality is pretty good but it comes in the form of a 3.56GB ISO, which means that a whole GB is blank, and that could have been used for better compression.

Beezo also provides an audio commentary that was very entertaining, informative, and fun to listen. Main menu is not very sophisticated but looks good.

Overall a very nice job, and for sure if I ever feel like rewatching this movie, it will definitely be Beezo's cut.

Thank you for your positive and warm review. I'm especially thrilled you listened to the commentary track! I think you're the only one thus far that has!

when i saw this in the cinema i walked out so disappointed.
this was a movie that could have been a classic, but it all fell apart somewhere in production.
maybe it was big headed tom cruse had to much control or the tell us everything V.O
so when i saw this edit i had to give it a try.
im glad i did because this was very good improvement.
i really enjoyed this edit and this will be my go to version from now on.

i highly recommend this to everyone who loves a good sci fi action movie

I know this movie gets a bad rap in terms of narrative, but I've always liked it. The cinematography is gorgeous and Tom Cruise, well he's Tom Cruise at the top of his game here. Beezo's edit tightens up the pace and eliminates some light dialogue that otherwise doesn't directly effect the plot. I've probably watched this edit 3 or 4 times and it's usually the one I go when I watch this movie. There are little lines from the theatrical version that I miss (the stuff where Jack talks to Bob), but there's not really a moment where you feel something is lost when watching the edit. Beezo's edit makes for an enjoyable experience that is on equal footing with the source material, though I wouldn't necessarily say it's a replacement of the source.

Audio/Video Quality: 10/10
It looks and sounds the part that it should for the resolution and file size.
Visual Editing: 10/10
Again, I don't notice anything out of place and don't see any obvious editing choices. Another round of great work!
Audio Editing 10/10
I don't notice anything out of place and don't hear obvious editing choices. Great work!
Narrative: 9/10
I do miss a few inconsequential elements (dialogue and Tech 52), but nothing that makes me turn off the edit and go back to the theatrical when watching. The changes in no way create narrative conflicts so I'll only take one nitpicking point off for the Tech 52 ;)
Enjoyment: 8/10
Two subjective points taken off because I do like some of the omitted elements. A solid 8 for great editing and a slightly faster way to watch Oblivion. This edit is a showcase example of clean cuts and great execution of edits. Great work Beezo! Sorry it took so long for me to write a review.
