Definitely the go to edit of this film, really tightened up and moves at a good pace. Really enjoyed the changes to the opening scene. Scenes now feel more perilous in situations where they should feel perilous.

The film is still funny in places even with the goofy parts removed and Jaws seems much more threatening in this version although it still bugs me how he just gets carried away and then disappears in the Carnival.

The movie is still a bit boring once it gets into Space but this is much more of a Bond version. Well done Mr LS.

It's been so long since I watched my copy of Moonraker that I couldn't remember what caused me such full-body cringes the last time I watched it, aside from "Bond falls in a circus tent" and "incredulous pigeon." To all of our benefit, LS has excised these and any other dopey elements to leave us a pure gift from the film gods: 007 on a spaceship. (Let those words wash over you, fellow jaded cinephile.)

As if that weren't enough, we get more Jaws and one of the best Bond girls in Holly Goodhead, not to mention one of the all-time great so-bad-it's-poetry double entendres from M in the final scene. The villain is a warmed-over Blofeld rehash, but whatever, that's beside the point, when you have Jaws, you really don't need much else in the way of antagonists.

In short, it's Bond in Space, now without the wincing. Thanks, LS, you are doing the Lord's work.

Absolutely... Amazing!
It's the perfect balance between humor and drama.
I have a lot of fun watching this version.
Really great job

Agree with thefoo.

I have to say, this was certainly the GO TO version of this movie (see below).

This film was fast tracked to jump on the space bandwagon and wjat it lacked it good writing was made up with humor which frankly, just diminishes the entire movie and Bond's persona.

LastSurvivor has redeemed this film making true canon IMHO. Flwaless

And if you don't believe it was fast tracked, look at the title named in the closing credits of The Spy Who Loved me... It's not Moonraker.

Outstanding edit.
