Fantastic collection of shorts. I really enjoyed almost everything on here. Even the parts I did not love as much were interesting, creative ideas. I've reviewed each individually so here I will just say that Mighty Mutants vs The Magnetic Man and Iron Blood are two of my favorite edits period at this point. So so good. The special features were really fun, particularly UA's edit to the Weird Al Ode to a Superhero. There was some really bad compression in a few parts of it but it didn't really hurt my enjoyment. I read through the thread and I understand it kinda had to happen to fit on one disc. Regardless, it's my favorite special feature; really good editing and cleverly done to match pretty much every line of the song. Highly, highly recommended to all!

A very strong collection of shorts, for the most part filled with creative and bold choices.

A Psychogenic Fugue - This is great stuff. The ability to turn Spiderman 3 into a moody abstract lynchian nightmare takes serious talent. Well done Mr.Fry 9/10

Mighty Mutants vs The Magnetic Man - Excellent. Rogue-theX truly is the most talented editor I have seen when it comes to re-creating the 'classic' look, including fonts, use of lighting, music - the whole deal. It somewhat breaks the illusion to see modern day special effects within such a framework, but it doesn't matter really. 9/10

Rise of The Kingpin - Nice mashup, but one of the weaker efforts of the bunch. The fight scenes from Daredevil are just terrible, so it doesn't help that a lot of the edit focusses on these battles. Still, technically it was quite well done. 7/10

Spiderman: The Dark Side - Excellent. Slight plot issue with the Bank already having been robbed by the time spidey shows up, but otherwise a really strong alternate universe take on Spiderman. 8/10

Blade: Man or Monster - Really strong, I actually enjoyed this more than the movies. The only plot issue I noticed was that baby Blade's bloody hand miraculously heals once he leaves home. But overall, this was Gory good times. 8/10

Captain America: XXX - I don't really know what to say about this one, except to state the obvious that the 'acting bits' are the worst parts of a Porn Parody... The audio transitions were also quite clunky, but maybe this was intentional? 5/10

Rejected - I long for the day when Blueyoda releases a feature length mashup and wins FEOTY by a record margin. His work here is genius, as per usual. 10/10

Iron Blood - Another mashup editor at the top of his game. Watching this back to back with Rejected was gold. Loved this one from start to finish (although I wish the mention of Myspace had been extracted...). Top quality work right here. 10/10

Extras - Uncanny Antman's work here is amazing. Loved the extended X-Men trailer, the brilliant mix of Billy Joel/Spiderman, and the 'inwards singing' was absolutely hilarious. 10/10

An overall great consecution. I am flabergasted by the talent displayed.

A Psychogenic Fugue by Dwight Fry: Lynchean edit of Raimi's Spider-Man 3. Possibly my favorite short from this consecution. Very well executed, very moody (with amazing musical choices by Dwight Fry), very disturbing in all the right ways. Absolutely succeeds in giving a new dark, hallucinogenic spin to the movie we know. Not meant to be understood on a logical, conscious level.

Mighty Mutants vs. The Magnetic Man by Rogue-theX: Rogue has mastered the art of "retrofying" movies. This short proves his skills once again. Not only through his brilliant use of the digital tools available to us non-professionals (his attention to detail is uncanny) but, most importantly, through his ability to tell a compelling story.

Rise of the Kingpin by Phantom Stranger: Nice crossover between Daredevil and Punisher: War Zone.

Spider-man: The Dark Side by Mollo: A new, spectacularly twisted and perverted origin story for Spidey, based on Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. Great to see Mollo back after (too) long a hiatus.

Blade: Man or Monster by The Magician: Fun edit of an episode of the Blade TV series. My expectations were low, but the skillful editing sucked me in. Surprising debut by The Magician.

Cpt America: XXX by the Magician: I thought this was a short film that the editor had shot himself until I realized the footage was from a porn parody. Acting so bad, fights so awful, props so mediocre that I couldn't help but enjoy myself. Not sure what this says about The Magician's skills as an editor but I was definitely entertained.

Rejected by blueyoda: Being the editor of this one, I'll refrain from rating it but I will say that it was fun to make. Assembled from rejected ideas for fanedits that wouldn't have worked as features but in my opinion stand well as rapid-fire sketches.

Iron Blood by TMBTM: Rambo meets Iron Man in this great, cynical mashup. TMBTM proves once more that he is one of the best. Foutredieu, quel talent il a, cet homme!

It took me some time to catch up on this long-in-the-making consecution

After Space-Consecution had some shining moments but felt a bit uneven this one is much more balanced and better crafted. The enjoyment of course varies from short to short but they are a fun mix and some of them get oddly creative - more on that at the individual short reviews
