Ok, so, I watched this a couple of days ago now and so have had time to reflect.
I think that this is a great idea and I really admire the decsion to have a go at crafting a unified marvel movie universe. The only problem is, there is no real story linking the characters together, I was extremely confused as to how The Hulk fit into the whole story, and to be honest the whole thing just felt like the fight scenes from several movies cut together with almost no real rhyme or reason.
I’m also going to be honest here, the edits were not even really that good, what with overlapping sound cues and off pace timing really jumping out at me.
At the top of this page Jorge tells us that this is the 3rd episode of 3 and so maybe that is why the whole thing felt disjointed and confusing, so perhaps when seen in context with the other 2 episodes maybe I will enjoy it more. As it is at the moment I would describe this as mediocre at best. It most certainly does not come close to being a Fan-Edit classic!
Then again, I maybe being a little harsh due to the fact that I am still reeling from Adywan’s Star Wars Revisited edit – but to me that really has set the bar for fan edits in the future.
If I were to mark this out of 5 I would give it at 2 – but in saying that I will be d/l the next 2 episodes to see the whole thing in context and maybe then my opinion will change.
Sorry Jorge.

Marvel 24

This is a superb editing job and certainly a convincing portrayal of a world inhabited by super heroes. This is 50 minutes of none stop action.

Technically the sound editing and cutting are absolutely faultless but the problem lies in a lack of cohesive narrative.

The films that have been utilised stay within their own bounds and never interact with each other. As the world is coming to an end and cities are being ripped apart, Peter Parker is in his own universe fighting his own adversaries, and so are the X-Men and so is the Hulk.

Some linking of these Super Hero worlds would have been interesting and added to what came so close to a Fan-Edit classic.

wow this edit is a prime example of “pure fun edits”

since i can’t argue about plotlines or anything, i just wanted to say: i even enjoyed the fantastic 4 parts and with the constant clock ticking and world ending-pictures it was a real cool experience
