This, sir, in my humble opinion, is the single most rousing dceu (fan) film for me. Job Willins, my man, thank you for that ending. Thank you for the cohesion. Thank you for showing what Superman should had been. Arigatou Gozaimasu

Just finished this, really loved it.
Sounded great, looked great. felt great :]

Some of the story was a little loose, but that's a problem with the source material not the edit,

Highly Recommended!

I loved the edit.

I was not looking for something more Marvel- or Christopher Reeves-style, and if you are, you will not get it here.

What you will get is a masterful integration of MoS and BVS into a coherent and exciting narrative that thunders along and becomes something more than the sum of its parts.

What you will get are smart cuts, sharp focus, and real stakes. I am a Snyder fan but was happy to see a much shorter Krypton sequence, the removal of material that was neither needed (e.g. Superman having the Kryptonian codex) nor useful (e.g. Batman's bizarre reasoning that "if we believe there's a ONE percent chance that he is our enemy we have to take it as an absolute certainty") nor convincing (e.g. Pa Kent's decisions).

Wonder Woman plays a more low-key role for much of the movie, but it works. There is some toning down of Batman's violence and of the collateral damage in Superman's fights which I do not think was strictly necessary -- e.g. Superman did, in fact, kill Zod in the comics, not every movie 100% follows the comics anyway, as Marvel movies' reinvention of Thanos as a well-intentioned environmentalist shows -- but it still works.

It works well. Very, very well. Seriously. This is a brilliant edit.

What an improvement and accomplishment! It's now a masterpiece spanning from the birth to the death of Superman. I agree with the positive comments of other reviewers, notably the excellent incorporation of the tornado flashback to the Doomsday fight.

Detail on each of my ratings:

Audio/Video Quality: 7 stars
The HQ version was good, but did have moderate artifacts in heavy action and dark scenes.

Visual Editing: 9 Stars
At least one of the new opening credits felt rushed and not displayed on the screen long enough. There was just one brief but very noticeable video/audio glitch on the HQ version where the frame jumped. Overall, the edits were smooth and professional.

Audio Editing: 9 Stars
Audio transition to Jor-El's flashback was noticeable but not jarring. Overall the audio transitions were smooth and professional.

Narrative: 8 Stars
Narrative was overall a vast improvement. The rushed pace and some scene rearrangement/cuts did introduce somewhat of a "wait, what just happened!?" effect in some places.

Enjoyment: 10 Stars
Great job of the fanfixes, especially Zod's death. Great job of integrating the BvS material, especially the transition from Superman's anguish to Batman's anger following the battle of Metropolis. Wow!
The outstanding music integration should also be recognized, especially the music after Zod's death leading into Batman's brooding in the Batcave. Amazing!
A successful fanfix and fanmix, the best of both types of edits. Loved it!

Thank you JobWillins.

Spoilers:

I can't add too much that hasn't already been said here, other than to say this is a masterful job by Willins. Narrowing the movie down to some of the key themes and good ideas that Snyder presented in otherwise bloated affairs could not have been easy.

The flashback to the tornado at the Kent farm as a metaphor for Superman's battle with Doomsday, in particular, was genius. To me this read as Superman feeling a familiar level of fear: not for himself but for the world's safety and ultimately that of Lois and Martha. This added element puts a fine point on disproving Batman's theory that Superman doesn't qualify as being brave due to being a superhuman.

The removal of Batman killing is always a welcome change and it was handled well in this edit. As a result, he still maintains a certain level of anger and brutality while staying in control of himself.

Something that hasn't been mentioned is how well Wonder Woman was handled. In this edit Diana lurks in the background, and we only see her in passing until she emerges as the cavalry in the film's climax. For me this heightened one of BvS's already brilliant moments.

Neither she nor Lex Luthor come into direct contact with Batman or Superman early in the film. For Lex this adds to the idea that he is a clever puppet master merely biding his time.

I strongly recommend this fanedit.
