Agent9 has done it again, taking a big-budget and successful movie that received negative reviews and turned it into a much more enjoyable film. John Williams' score was perfectly integrated, and improved the film so much. The colour correction was a massive improvement, and made the movie much more pleasing to the eye.

------------------SPOILERS AHEAD--------------------

The flashback sequences were moved around in such a way that they seem less spontaneous and more appropriate to certain parts. Although it was weird to start Clark's journey off with instantly becoming Superman before we actually meet the character felt odd, it didn't bother me that much.

Loved the removal of Superman's dad, he still remains in certain scenes but only to deliver some good dialog and progress the story, rather than dying and making overly dramatic and pointless screentime that has nothing to do with the overall plot.

Krypton is now much better, though the action scenes and special effects were stunning, they also served as pointless screentime. The opening is now less than ten minutes and gets straight to the point, introducing Zod and his motivations.

---------------------SPOILER END--------------------

Overall, Agent9 has done an amazing job, the cuts are all reasonable. This is now my go-to version of 'Man of Steel'

My very basic review of this would be "thank you". I'm extremely grateful for this cut.

Man of Steel was a near-miss for in in theaters, and I just knew there was a great Superman movie in there somewhere. The cuts make sense (and eliminate so much of that on-the-nose Goyer dialogue and needless subplots) from a storytelling standpoint, the movie seems to move a hundred times faster with the improved pacing, and the color regrading was fantastic. Characters are much smarter, scenes get to the point, and a lot of the unneccessary (albeit very cool) scenes are removed. I do wish there was a way to get rid of the piece of dialogue from Pa Kent ("Should I have let them die?" "....maybe.") because that just seems so out-of-character, with how we've all grown up with him as Clark's confidant and guide through his early years, but other than that this is so, so good. I'm hoping this edit doesn't create any sort of continuity inconsistencies with BvS, but I'm optimistic any of those would be very minor. It's amazing how something as relatively subtle as restoring the classic John Williams score can turn a flawed movie on its head.

Outstanding, just great work overall. This is going to be in my regular rotation for sure. Congrats and thank you!

This is my first review of any fan edit. I am Christopher Reeves fan, and the score was beautiful. I loved the coloring and pace. I did not know other movies were used, so it was very seamless for me. I did notice some old sound effects, such as a flying swooshing noise, which was subtle but noticeable.
Taking the codex away from Kal's blood and into the key, was an excellent idea, and makes more sense when Superman gives it to Lois in the ship. It also makes sense when Zod is dismayed that there is no hope for his new Krypton after the Phantom Zone enslaves his crew; otherwise, Kal's blood would still be viable to use.
I am very pleased with this fan edit.

Agent 9 has done it again, everything from the color change to the score change is fantastic! one of the best Fan Edits I have seen. the attention to detail with all the changes is of the highest quality. I wish hollywood would hire more people like this who show dedication to "keeping it real" To many movies these days just take things over the top and ruin what could potentially be great films by overusing CGI and corny one liners and such... (Jurassic World and Terminator Genisys come to mind) I did however miss a scene or two from the original that lay a bit more foundation for Superman's ideology. All in all highly recommend for any Superman fan who didnt love the Original cut

First time I saw Man of Steel, I loved it, as was the case when I first bought it on blu ray. But, the more I watched it the more its flaws started to wear and tear at my enjoyment, especially with it's ugly color grading. While I still don't hate the film or call it god awful, this edit here is spectacular. First off, addressing the coloring, I can now say "Man of Steel, in color." Easy on the eyes and very bright like it should be. The pace, my gosh the pacing is much closer to a traditional Superman film and never bored me. The cuts all made sense, were creative and the added shots from other sources fitted in nicely. Same with audio, although once or twice you could make out transitions from the original cut, it never bothered me. This is a must add to your Blu ray collection.
