A really good edit to an already awesome film but that always had a little too much going on at times. I like the changes in the narrative flow with a lot of the distracting elements being discarded or changed. It gives more time to focus on Superman, as well as not forcing a quick relationship with Lois Lane.

There’s also a nice touch of hope that makes the whole thing feel less cynical and more enjoyable to watch, even in the small things like less harshness to some of the conflicts between Clark and others, or Perry White being a little less of an a-hole. The best change overall for me was the minimizing of the damage done to Metropolis, and not having Superman “accidentally” killing so many in his duel with Zod. Just a few of these tweaks elevate the entire experience quite a bit.

Highly recommend this as a very solid replacement to a great Superman film,

Man of Steel has always been polarizing for audiences since its release in 2013 with Christopher Nolan's gritty and realistic take on Batman breaking records and setting a new standard for Super Heroes. There was no real leap of what Warner and DC were going to do take Superman the next most popular character give him the Dark Knight treatment and lightning will strike twice right? Not really, For many taking a character who is far more: optimistic, light hearted, and colorful than Batman and giving him a realistic dark gritty origin was not what some wanted from the hero who symbolizes hope. If you are one such person who wanted a more traditional heroic take on Superman this is the edit for you. Wakeupkeo work should be commended for making this I was skeptical that this movie could be salvaged but I am pleasantly surprised and am looking forward to his other edits on the dceu. it still isn't perfect but considering how much of an improvement this was to the man of tomorrow I finished this wishing this was the movie I watched opening weekend 2013.

I guess I'm just not a Man of Steel fan in general. This is objectively a well-made edit, but I don't know if it's really possible to save this film that much. In all fairness, I haven't seen the theatrical cut in years. Excited to watch the rest of this trilogy though!

This is a fantastic edit. The choices made showing what we could have gotten in the theater. Pacing is very good and the story is much tighter with the removal of those 20ish minutes. This edit tells the story in the way we wanted to see. I can't help but think if a few more deleted scenes to help flesh out the edit would move this entire movie into summer blockbuster status.

Man of Steel: The Outsider Edit, skillfully crafted by Wakeupkeo, is a remarkable reimagining of Zack Snyder's superhero epic that breathes new life into the iconic story of Superman. Wakeupkeo expertly trims unnecessary subplots, streamlines the narrative, and injects a fresh perspective into the film, resulting in a more focused and engaging viewing experience. The pacing is tight, allowing for an immersive journey that captivates from start to finish.

One of the standout aspects of this edit is its commitment to exploring the deeper layers of Superman's character. Wakeupkeo deftly balances the superhero's superhuman abilities with his emotional struggles, presenting a more nuanced and relatable portrayal of the Man of Steel. The added character moments and subtle alterations to certain scenes make the story more cohesive and emotionally resonant.

The visual and audio quality of The Outsider Edit is exceptional. The editing seamlessly blends the original footage with new additions, creating a cohesive and polished final product. The color grading and visual effects enhancements contribute to a visually stunning presentation that is on par with the quality of a professional production.

The inclusion of Hans Zimmer's iconic score, combined with strategically placed sound effects, enhances the intensity of the action sequences and heightens the emotional impact of pivotal moments.
