"God Only Knows" how Job Willins worked out how to combine these three films?!
He has taken three mediocre films and turned it into a must watch experience. I have a soft spot for Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness, but the others aren't at all interesting. The brilliance in combining all three narratives and combining a lot of the monster mayhem with Beach Boys cannot be overstated. This is one of those fanedits where my expectations were very low and I was staggered at how entertaining the final product turned out.

A/V: Video & audio quality great for all three films, no problems here.

Editing: Mostly seamless, perhaps cut a little too quickly once or twice but nothing that stands out to make it obvious this is a fanedit. Great addition of a new soundtrack that works surprisingly well. I felt that the audio levels between The Mist & Deep Rising were occasionally slightly off. But I don't have the best TV so can't comment further.

Narrative/Enjoyment: Very well crafted story. In the Mouth of Madness serves as a precursor for the stories of The Mist & Deep Rising. The use of voiceovers from ITMOM was well done. Edit is well paced as well. My main criticism would be that a little too much time was spent on The Mist, I feel more could've been cut to streamline the edit. And that more scenes from ITMOM could've been included.

Overall, a really great job with this edit JobWillins, it's very impressive to stitch together 3 different films from 3 different directors, yet have a cohesive and enjoyable story.

I love everything about this. Such a brilliant idea.

In terms of story telling, the movies fold together much better and more balanced than expected. The climax was powerful and really well executed. The sound editing was great... I don't know how anyone thought to combine cosmic horror with the Beach Boys, but it was absolutely perfect.

Great job.

Lovecraft Actually is a very fun way to watch In the Mouth of Madness, Deep Rising and The Mist all at the same time, whilst also breathing new life and themes into each movie. Using In the Mouth of Madness as a basis for the events that unfold in each movie, Job Willins has crafted a spectacular horror movie treat for all to enjoy. The music choices, and their respective placements, are perfect and never once felt out of place. The way Willins has connected the three movies is downright masterful. It really seems like this was a theatrical release put out by a studio. My only criticism is that In the Mouth of Madness does get tossed to the side in a few areas of the movie but overall the way the narrative plays out is great. The religious themes really transform all three of these movies into something else. While they were always present in both In the Mouth of Madness and The Mist, the way that each movie is interwoven together really sells the idea that "maybe this is an act of God" (revenge)... Or maybe it isn't and there is no god, or maybe God has abandoned our poor protagonists. I don't know, but what I do know is that I thoroughly enjoyed this edit and it's another great project from the mind of Job Willins.

Definitely check this one out when you have the time, it's a rollercoaster of a ride, but a fun one at that.

We'll have fun fun til the monster takes you away. Three completely different movies yet the same. Great storytelling. Downloaded watched and ignored the things I needed to do until the end of this edit. Appropriate Beach Boys songs at the right moment(s). The Mist integrates nice with The Deep and The Mouth of Madness as a precursor of everything, nice. I will rewatch a few more times. Thanks for the fun
