Brief Synopsis:
I watched Love and Monsters when it first became available during quarantine and I was pleasantly surprised what a great movie and somewhat of a hidden gem it is. It has a great balance of humor, heart and its fair share of scary monsters.
I've put back all but 1 of the deleted scenes if for nothing other than to just spend a few extra minutes in this world created in the film.
The only real change I made to the film is moving the fate of Clyde and Minnow to a mid-credits scene so as to not takeaway from the emotional high we feel at the end of the film. Making a joke about Joel at this point was a little out of place and we as an audience needed to arrive at the end of the film feeling uplifted by the swell of the music as Joel becomes a leader.

Intention:
Each of the deleted scenes gives our hero some more screen time such as: giving us more background on what he has to do to actually get to use the radio to call Amy, comforting a friend who lost someone, his first monster encounter outside of his colony, exploring an abandoned house and showing us his newfound bravery towards the end,

5 deleted scenes were reinserted. One of them had unfinished effects that I cut around and now the scene has a Jaws-esque (not seeing the monster) quality to it.

This is an overall seamless edit. I love the theatrical cut, and this adds some great new stuff. There was one addition (part of when Joel goes into the house) that I could tell was edited in, not at all a fault of the editor; the scene was just a little out of place, and I doubt anything could be done about it. Both the new Jaws-esque scene and the new mid-credit scene are perfect. This will definitely be my go-to way to watch this movie in the future.

Great job in the addition of all the new scenes, and the new score added to them. Never noticed they were out of place at all.
The change of the mid-credits scene makes sense.
One of the cuts, almost at the end, had a noticeable continuity error.

With this extended cut, the few and brief deleted scenes re-inserted, add an extra layer of background and emotional depth.
Technically flawless. The deleted scene insertions are seamless with excellent audio work.
There is also one particular deleted scene that included unfinished FX, that MusicEd has masterfully edited into a very intense and riveting scene.
An already wonderful movie made even BETTER! Good stuff!!!
