Kill Bill X
no happy Hollywood ending.
was slow moving but much more effective. Since it was originally one movie,
my attempt was to create a trimmer, meaner, faster, hard boiled version with
no happy Hollywood ending. It’s also in chronological order.
Added Pai Mai’s White Lotus Massacre from Shaolin Executioner (1977)
Added Split screen for Budd’s sequence.
Added Deadly Viper Assassination Squad intro.
Added Vernita Green’s daughter killed by the Bride.
Removed music from snow swordfight.
Removed all animation.
Removed Joleen, her daughter, being alive.
Removed Budd’s scene at work.
Removed The Crazy 88 massacre.
Many more cuts and trims to remember.
I don`t know why this fan edit does got get more love?
One of Jorge's first fan edits, it is still one of my favorites.
Is it better than the originals? Nope! Those are cinematic classics!!!
But this edit is smartly executed with just enough subtle, but very significant, narrative alterations that this fan edit feels almost like a completely different story and held my attention completely from start to finish.
This is an old fanedit, so the DVD is pretty bad quality. Overall the editing was good but there were some awkward cuts. The story felt really off to me, maybe I’m just so used to the theatrical cuts. It felt a bit like “this happened, then this happened and oh yeah this happened”. Bravo for cutting out her daughter in the finale. That worked nicely.
A/V Quality - 6

Chronological = sucks.
Trimmed = too much.
Meaner = yes, but also more stupid.
Faster = no, just shorter.
Hard boiled version = you wish.
Sorry, but this one did not at all convince me.
