Kenny Baker has passed away, at the age of 81.
I know this isn’t fanedit news, but Kenny was a major part of the Star Wars family, and Star Wars is one of the reasons fanedit.org (via originaltrilogy.com) came into existence.
Over the course of his life Kenny played little, but memorable roles in several of the films we all love. He was, of course, the man inside R2-D2 in the first six Star Wars films, as well as an Ewok in Return of the Jedi, and had wonderul roles in Labyrinth, Amadeus, Time Bandits, Flash Gordon, Willow and The Elephant Man. As sad as his passing is, he lived a long and full life, after having been told as a young child that he wouldn’t live very long.
