Brief Synopsis:
A mainly ZSJL restructured edit that lets the story unfold more naturally, that tightens up ZSJL and adds as much of the best parts of JWJL. More of JWJL Diana struggling with leadership,
Intention:
I took this edit on as it’s my most requested edit due to my other DCEU edits. I did my original DoJ Trilogy edits in hopes of the ZSJL release, and I couldn't be happier that it happened. As absolutely bloated as it was, I saw no need to rush to edit it. And legendary editors Gieferg, Spence, Krausdafr and BionicBob made amazing edits of their own. But as seems likely in this hobby with so many possible choices to make along the way, I never saw an edit quite the way I would cut it, and now it seemed time.
As always, I stayed true to my goal of editing movies - first and foremost for myself. I genuinely watch my edits repeatedly.
The goal was to try to use this movie to move these characters from the darker ZS origins, to end with the more positive, classic Justice League HEROIC archetypes I am more familiar with and fit better with the following DCEU movies.
Additional Notes:
This has truly been a passion project, a love letter to the end of the DCEU I have grown to love, and to send Cavil out on the best note possible.

Special Thanks:
To @Boredat3am, for always checking in to see if it was time to begin, and for amazing and thoughtful feedback. Your support has been so motivating throughout this edit.
To @Dirtycop1036, for the countless previews and feedback, your passion has also been a great motivator
To the legend @BionicBob, for thoughtful anaylisis with reference to views of true comic book fans, of which I am not. The feedback coupled with the depth of knowledge and love for these characters was immeasurable.
And to the great edits of @Spence, @Krausfadr, @Gieferg, and @BionicBob that came before, which I respect highly and drew inspiration from.

Editing Details:
This edit pushed my skills to new levels, as I wasn’t satisfied with the footage we got so I had to sometimes mix two shots together to get the result I needed. Dialogue rebuilt in many instances, and color correction throughout to integrate JWJL footage into the ZSJL, and the ZSJL color was brought up a little bit too to be less gloomy.
Cuts and Additions:
Intro:
Credit intro FX to remove “Time Warner Media Company” for a more timeless feel.
New “WB” and “DC” logos used from the ZSJL Trailer, upscaled and heavily slowed with Topaz

Wakeupkeo thanks for reminding me why I loved DC growing up

My Fourth review of Wakeupkeos take of the DCEU and I don't think I have said thanks to him yet for these edits.
Justice League was a movie I hated than liked now love. Once again this is the cut to watch I was curious how Wakeuokeo would edit out an entire hour and everything would still make sense, well its not only a testament to the editors skills but just how bloated Zack Snyder's movie was. There were obvious things like the women sniffing Aquamans shirt, toning down Wonder woman's theme but I was surprised at how well some of the Whedon scenes fit in, with some wonderful color correction done.
My only real criticism isn't with story or editing but with the chapter credits they annoyed me in the Snyder cut and they annoy me here I will be skipping them in the future just my personal opinion.
I haven't mentioned this in my previous reviews until now but I have no real problem with the sound and that's because I use headphones to watch these movies (special headphones not airpods or stuff like that) I don't have a big surround system right now but from what I hear everything sounds fine.
This one gets a perfect 10 from me it took the core of Snyder's vision and cut the bloat and focused on the core this like the others will be my definitive cut.

This cut is mindblowing, so the movie is cut by 1 hour and at face value, you would take it that at least one or several plots are left unresolved. That is not the issue here, Wakeupkeo has achieved a perfect balance for an action movie that was originally unnecessarily bloated. The sheer amount of trims and cuts made, while the movie still feels and looks original and even better than that, is mindblowing. Looking forward to future edits man, no words can express how well you have made this movie flow.
Very detailed, precise and professional cut, congratulations and thank you.

I just finished watching Wakeupkeo's edits of BvS, JL and most of MoS, and I'm coming away very impressed. I think the highest compliment you can give any edit is that it's the only version you will watch in the future, and that is definitely the case for these terrific versions of JL and BvS. I never really had any problems with the theatrical edits of MoS or WW, so I'll probably stick with the originals for those.

For JL, he takes the core of the ZS version, trims the scenes that made you look for a fan edit in the first place, and seamlessly (color correction and FX) integrates the more redeeming parts of the JS version to make it a bit more fun. Scene transitions are entirely unnoticeable, and as I watched it was honestly hard to recall the bits that had been cut and which bits were from each movie. You just get lost in the pacing, and that's the heart of a great edit.

I don't have any major criticisms of the editing or story choices, though I personally will choose to skip the credit scenes in future viewings as they (again, just my opinion) detract more than they add. I hated the race scene, and Luthor's escape isn't going anywhere.

The only minor technical issue I had was with the sound. My receiver is reading the mix as Dolby Digital, but it seems to be encoded in stereo (no center, no surrounds). But the sound quality in JL is the best of the three, and there's a much higher quality version of it available as well (compared to BvS and MoS).

Mostly, just thank you for doing this. The JW version of JL was terrible, and the ZS version was bloated, and this is just a really nice balance of the two. Cheers!

The best JL edit that I've watched. 100% recommended over the original JWJl and ZSJL. The edit is flawless imo. The only thing that I didn't get to see was Flash's and Superman's post credit scene but that's understandable as the superman's suit in that scene was red and not black hence it'd have hurt continuity.

Ha ha I think you missed the very last scene then! The race is definitely included! Clark returns to the blue suit in this one, so no issues with continuity!

Thanks for the review!!
