This edit is a master piece. Not only is the pacing much better, but the colour grading no longer looks like somebody vomited on the screen and looks so much better now!

P.S. Have you thought about tackling the sequel? I personally think it's fine. But then again, you and I have some very different opinions.

Top notch. This film looks gorgeous in black and white. I would need Throw to explain to me color spaces and crushed blacks but I just know it looked crisp and awesome. :) Narratively, there's some smart tightening of an already pretty tight movie. It all plays. The Russian mob boss's number 2 not knowing Russian was always annoying to me, so that's fixed. We get enough of the character to make the action resonate, which I think was the intent here. There's not really any more character work in the theatrical, anyway. Technically great and very enjoyable edit.

This was an excellent job! It's kind of a no brainier to watch this movie in black and white since the lenses that were used in the filming of this movie render great BOKEH and aberrations that look excellent in the black and white.

There's just one problem with this edit. I think the cuts at the end where Wick gets his new dog don't do any favors for the movie. Watching Wick get up from the ground and seeing the damaged SUV parked outside the building really helps with the geography.

That problem aside, this is some really good stuff and i highly recommend watching it for anyone who loved the originals. They might even end up liking this a little bit more.

Loved every minute of this edit!
It fly's by and leaves you wanting more. I chose to watch this version before I viewed the sequel.
It's well worth your time seeking it out.

Ive watched both Color and B&W variations. but will recommend the B&W version as it's the editors preference.

I would of loved a 1080p version with a 5.1 mix as I view my movies in a home cinema a/v environment, but again I think it was to do with the editor's preference, so it's a mute point.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Excellent job. Took out most of the boring Perkins stuff, which was a great move since it didn't help the movie at all. Loved the new titles and how it slides right into the death of his wife instead of making most of the movie a flashback. It was action-action-action. The black and white gave it a different view, which I think would very nicely.

Minor issues: First, there were a few fade outs that seemed more like tv fade outs, if that makes sense. Second, I thought it ended too quickly. I thought taking out the opening of the movie(the aftermath) was a good idea, but I would have shown had a few seconds of it at the end, as a breather for John and for him to reflect on why he went though all that he did. He he walks away and gets a new dog. Third, a tiny more Ian McShane would have shown why he would help John later.

If you love the original cut, you've watched it a few times already, so this is a nice, different cut when you don't want to sit through some of the slow stuff in the original. Great job!
