Brief Synopsis:
1997. The future.

Snake Plissken is pulling off one of the most daring heists of the late 20th Century at the Colorado Fedaral Reserve, but with the United States Police Force is hot on his heels, will he be able to ... ESCAPE FROM COLORADO?
Intention:
I wanted to do something with this fun little prologue to Escape from NY that wasn't used. It definitely didn't fit in the film, but it was neat, so I presented it as it's own prequel film.
Additional Notes:
I've done my best to upscale the poor VHS footage to 720p, colour correcting, as well as stretching it back to its original aspect ratio so that it looks presentable.
Other Sources:
Escape from L.A.: Original Score Album From the Motion Picture - Out of Time (unused) was now used as the end credits music
Escape from New York: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - Main Title was reused over the opening titles

An intense and thrilling short made from a deleted scene of "Escape From NY" that serves as a prequel to the film, Bobson Dugnutt tries his best to make it presentable, but not much can be done to fix that video quality. This edit is definitely for the fans of John Carpenter and his "Escape From...." series.

It rules; not sure what else to say, just that this deleted scene-turned-action short should be required viewing before watching Escape From NY, in the vein of The Crimson Permanent Assurance or Hotel Chevalier.

I really liked this prologue/prequal/setup. It sets a pretty intense tone in a short amount of time. Edited and presented perfectly. Wish the video quality could be better, but I know the source is terrible. I'm glad this short and sweet edit was made for fans of the Carpenter films like myself, at least the first one. This prequel is best watched before watching Escape From New York for maximum enjoyment.

I see why Big John cut this scene out, nevertheless, this scene is so cool! It works better as a short movie tied to Escape From N.Y, than an actual scene from the movie. Recommand it strongly.

I really enjoyed this little thing. Watched it awhile back but I forgot it was from here. Anywho, the visual and audio editing is perfect. Didn’t notice a single thing wrong with it. And Carpenter is one of my favorite directors, so seeing this in such good quality was a joy.
