Jaws The Sharksploitation Edit

Based on all the reviews glowing about this one, I thought it would be more entertaining, and while the editing is good for what it's trying to accomplish, I found the narrative to be somewhat bland and distracting. I suppose that was the point, because it is meant to be like a D-grade 70's sploitation flick, but taking Jaws and making it less interesting isn't the ideal watch for me, personally. As far as making it seem lower budget, yeah, TMBTM did a good job of that. I suppose I was expecting it to be funny or something. :p

TMBTM presents another grindhouse edit taking the popular Jaws film and turning it into something unique and original. The music choices made here are all great and the shark attack set to Iggy Pops go for the throat is perhaps one of the best fanediting sequences I've seen.

The edit could have benefited being 10 or 15mins shorter as some scenes for me don't really add anything to the overall story, also the splotching effects are at times distracting and over done though it didn't in any way take away the overall enjoyment I had.

Half way through the edit it's very apparent we've cut to Jaws 2 (one has to ask why Brody would call for another expert to examine the whale when he already has Hooper around) however this is all needed to set-up what is the best ending to a fanedit I've ever seen.

Overall this is a very enjoyable edit that doesn't take it self to seriously

This might be the best fanedit I've seen to date. The enjoyment factor just blow me through the roof. Loved the hiccups, new kills, what had been done to the video, the new intro, new ending, everything. I especially loved the attacks at day 7 (Fourth of July) the Go For The Throat (Iggy Pop song) was awesome and I laughed my ass off. So funny.

TMBTM's edits are really quite excellent, aren't they.

I rewatched Jaws the night before watching the Sharksploitation Edit, and was reminded why the original film is so brilliant. But then, along comes this crazy edit and pretty much turns the tone and stylings of Spielberg's masterpiece on its head to great effect.

Congrats TMBTM, this edit was great fun - MOAR SHARK ATTACKS! MOAR BLOOD! And the ending? brilliant work.
