Jaws 2: Extended Integral Edition

Since the goal of this edit was to integrate all footage possible, I cannot in good conscience ding it for using shots that are of poor quality by nature. If the edit's intention was to use only some of the bad looking deleted scenes I would disagree with using them at all, in that case. But the goal is to add everything possible. So it makes sense to me not to ding it for quality. I can also forgive it even more because the editor blended the audio and video so well. Fantastic cuts. I wish the edit was in more than mono sound though. I understand for the deleted scenes it is low quality, but the bluray footage should have the full soundscape, in my opinion, even if it's stereo. So I take points for this.

But overall, I am quite pleased that someone integrated all the deleted scenes and footage, as seamlessly as any editor could, into one edit. The video quality of all the bluray footage is fantastic.

I'd love to see the editor use Eleven Labs (AI voice creation software) to recreate and replace the Portuguese dialogue using the subtitles. That would be superb.

I love Jaws 1. The original is my favourite film. Jaws 2 is mediocre, but I have a soft spot for it. It follows right along from where the first film left off with many of the same actors from the original. And I liked it as a kid. But I knew it was inferior to the original, even then. Everything after Jaws 2 is just bad, to me.

I definitely recommend this to Jaws fans, and to those just looking for a very well made edit. This is a very good shelf-replacer for the original.

The ultimate Jaws 2 fan edit. Has everything a fan of the film series needs to see. Glad to see the original footage was kept in its original state and was only adjusted when necessary. Thanks to Ridgeshark for sharing this as it is an absolute must see.

I’ve always really enjoyed jaws 2, and felt it was underrated, albeit with some stubborn choices to make all the doubting characters absolutely bloody stupid.

The extra footage really changes the character development, and adds nothing but great things- ultimately filling out the film and bringing it much closer to the first. Some of the footage and audio is very obviously unreleased, but placed well and I believe improved the pacing.. The remaining footage has been edited and added extremely well, and I found myself wondering aloud if I just watched a new scene or have a poor memory (I do!]

This is the definitive version to watch and am very grateful to have found it. Bloody brilliant

How many times have I viewed Jaws 2? Five? A dozen? I live with two shark obsessed females, which means I get to see good shark flicks and a school of bad ones. And to me, Jaws 2 is a bad one.

Filesize = 13.4 GB. Video = 1920 X 1080 HEVC. Audio = kbps AAC 2-Channel stereo. Subs, well sorta.

This is too much of a good thing. Every single lost or cut scene is reinserted. For finatics, bigger and more happy meals.
Some bits are 4 X 3, and I wished the editor had mildly cropped top and bottom, as well as increased contrast and sharpness. The contrast and sharpness for other lost bits, too. Such might defeat the editor’s vision.

This remains and unsatisfying film for me (mind you, the two I watched this edit with were ecstatic).
Regular film, extended edition, the kids ought to have died. All of ’em.

Finally, 13 GB struck me as big for h265.
