Brief Synopsis:
I felt there were 2 unanswered questions in this movie. Both answers were found in deleted scenes. So I added the 2 deleted scenes back in.
Intention:
I was re-watching this movie and there were 2 things I wondered about. 1. Were was Rhodey during the ambush? 2. It seems odd that Rhodey just shows up after Tony is just wondering around after his escape? So I'm taking the extended scene from the ambush and the deleted scene from the military base and putting them back in.

Cuts and Additions:
- Added the extended "Ambush" opening.
- Added the deleted "Godspeed" scene.
- Moved the end credits scene to a mid credits scene and swapped out Nick Fury's dialog for the deleted version.
- Some slight color changed so the deleted scenes matched as well as I could make them.

Iron Man, the movie that started it all. And what a great super hero film in general.
Although I do own the blu ray I had not seen the deleted scenes before, so this was a first for me. It was a very nice touch to see extra footage of Rhodey and Tony and see how he was actively seeking him during the time that Tony was captured.
And what a great editing work in incorporating these scenes! It was totally seamless and if someone has not seen the movie before, he will not be able to tell where the extra scenes were added.
Regarding the post credits scene, personally, I prefer the original one. Plus, this was of lower picture quality.
My only complaint is that there are no English subtitles, so I can't make this my go-to version just for a couple of minutes of footage (I'm not native speaker). Now that I've seen them I'm ok, but it's still a shame.
I definitely recommend this edit to anyone who wants as much extra footage as he can get for Iron Man!
Thank you Lantern51 for your work and thanks to anyone who read my review!

A nice improvement for an already great movie. The deleted scenes adds a lot of context for Tony and Rhodey's friendship. I also love that you changed the credits scene with the deleted one, it has continuity problems for sure, but i personally just view it as a neat easter egg for the future of MCU. I'll definitely saving this one for my future MCU marathon!

Very good edit, I didn't watch those deleted scenes before, so it was new for me, I was pleasantly surprised by them. The ambush scene is very immersive, and gives a little highlight on Rhodey. Also the Nick Fury lines about mutants and radioactive bug bites was super cool, a cool Easter egg to the larger Marvel Universe. Thanks.

Iron Man is a great film.
I loved the trailer, and was happy when it turned out that it was going to be made into feature film (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBM3j7x4Lcw). And it was one of the first films I got on Blu Ray.
This edit indeed improves it. The deleted scenes are integrated beautifully into the film and add a depth to Rhodey and Tony's Bromance. Their placement also serves to connect a few dots - not only answering the question 'Where was Rhodey when Tony got captured' but also 'how was Tony rescued'.
The new end credits scene is a cute nod to the ever-growing MCU.
All in all - highly recommended.

Not to sure about the comic book pages effect at the beginning with the fanedit.org logo as I feel just having the Marvel Studios comic book page effect is enough, after having switched to VLC Media Player I can confirm that in terms of speed and framerate it yielded far better results than when I watched it in QuickTime Player with the picture and audio quality being fine for both versions.
As to the inclusions of the deleted scenes they are blended in pretty seamlessly, the extension to the attack at the beginning really does it’s job in showing the horrors of death that can occur in the middle east and I really felt the desperation and chaos of the scene. The deleted scene with Rhodey is a welcome and positive addition to his character truly showing that he cares for Stark and is willing to put himself in danger to find him even against his generals judgement and it also explains where all those helicopters came from and how they found Tony in the first place.
I love that you managed to use the audio of the deleted end credits scene and blended it with the official end credits scene as it makes for a nice little nod to Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman, Eric Bana’s Hulk and of course the X Men Films although since there not apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s continuity (At the time this film was made) than the context of this scene might instead serve as the seed of inspiration for Tony Stark to eventually go looking for Tom Holland’s Spiderman in Captain America Civil War and references Edward Norton’s Hulk though as for the assorted mutants comment that could be foreshadowing to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver’s involvement in Avengers Age of Ultron.
