Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Edits, The

Like everyone else, I really wanted to love the Hobbit trilogy as much as LOTR and what we got theatrically was just too overloaded. This edit combines the best of all of the Hobbit trilogy edits that have come before and have made this bloated trilogy more in line with the original LOTR trilogy and like that trilogy, this is infinitely rewatchable.

I do not recommend viewing the Hobbit trilogy in any other form. Buy the Blurays and put them on your shelf, sealed!

Thoroughly enjoyed this edit! I was entertained through all 5 episodes. I can finally add The Hobbit to my yearly rotation similarly to LOTR.

The best way to watch the Hobbit in my opinion. Honestly this feels more tight and paced with all of the fat cut out from the 3 movies. There are even a few clever cuts to clean up scenes that originally didn't go with one another. Keep up the good work!

This was fabulous! By pruning away so much of the silly comedy and unneeded story, the story really got a chance to shine, on the same level as the Lord of the Rings. This is my go-to for viewing from now on.

The editing choices made for a very enjoyable viewing experience.
With the unnecessary bits removed (especially the more cartoonish action sequences), the story really did come alive.
Thoroughly enjoyed this edit, would view it again.
