Review Detail

Stromboli has taken this series and (while near and dear to my heart) made it all the better. The first movie to me was the most in sync with the feelings of the joviliness and the overall vibe of the book. My only complaint was that Blunt the Knives was not in it. To my great surprise, this was still in an alternate and I now can watch the Hobbit in the best possible way it can be.

Movies 2 and 3 felt forced and there was too much added. This edit is the absolute perfection of that, Removing the parts that didn't work to streamline it into a better and make it what the Hobbit always had the possibility to be!
