Brief Synopsis:
Star Wars with a rocking soundtrack! Heavy Star Wars takes the existing action and adventure, trimming away unnecessary story/action/bad acting, and replaces the soundtrack with Rock music!
Intention:
My intention was to make a Star Wars movie a bit more easier to watch, especially if you are not a fan. I started with Episode III on a whim, finished Episode I, then II, and now I have finally completed the project! John Williams' Music is forever tied to the Star Wars movies, but I decided to use music from a completely different genre to not only tell the story, but to add a bit of humor and perhaps some subtle insight as to the motives of the Jedi Knights. I tried to make this movie a bit more mature, by removing some silly scenes, and removed some moments of doubt among the Jedi to make them more assertive and confident. I also added a bit more contrast and a cooler color palette with brighter colors to give it a more comic book feel.

All good things must come to an end, even the Heavy Star Wars saga. And much like the original film, Heavy Episode IX feels like an ending. The soundtrack for this edit reflects this. Most of the songs in this edit come straight from Heavy Metal, the film, this time around. Yes, some songs are different, especially during the 3rd act, but in general, if you own the soundtrack to Heavy Metal, or know it by heart, you'll start to notice a lot of the songs that are playing rather quickly. I can't complain, because as an end to the Heavy Star Wars saga, it's effective. It feels like a tribute not only to the other eight edits, but the film that inspired it all as well.
If you've watched and enjoyed the last eight Heavy Star Wars films up to this point, I doubt you're going to be disappointed with this conclusion to the saga. And as for me, watching these Heavy edits has been nothing short of a pleasure. Thanks for the good times, Ed!

This will be a short and sweet "review". As I am lucky enough to have all 9 edits in this series this one as the rest is just fun fun fun. From the bits Ed adds as "captions" to a scene to the soundtracks. From hearing a song and thinking "cool" good choice to how it fits the part of the movie it was used for. As I have said before, no techie stuff from me. Just enjoyment value. This as with the entire series (which I hope eventually cover all the SW titles) on my personal popcorn scale I will give a 6 out of 5. Pure fun
