----

The fifth film in my set of Harry Potter extended editions. Certain deleted scenes have been incorporated that were not added back to the TV versions, or scenes created from other content to allow for the inclusion of a deleted scene. For DH1, a majority of the deleted scenes that have been released on the Blu-Rays have been reincorporated into the original movie.
Intention:
The intent of this project was to create a complete set of Harry Potter extended editions that mimic the versions seen on ABC Family/FreeForm, but are not exact duplicates. Certain deleted scenes have been incorporated that were not added back to the TV versions, or scenes created from other content to allow for the inclusion of a deleted scene.

Editing Details:
Deathly Hallows Part 1 will always have a special place in my heart. I was late coming to the Potter table and DH1 was the first of the films that I saw in the theater. I loved working on updating the opening montage so I could add in the Harry/Petunia scene, the Weasley radio scene and one scene that ABC Family/FreeForm did not all, a clip of Harry and Dudley shaking hands. In the book, I felt like this was a critical moment, the redemption of Dudley. I was glad I could add part of that back into my version of the film. Scenes have been color corrected to match the adjoining scenes. I hope you enjoy this edit as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Cuts and Additions:
- Added extended intro leading up to the title screen similar to ABC Family/Freeform version. Included added Harry/Petunia scene and Ron/Arthur radio scene. Added additional scene with Dudley and Harry shaking hands before the Dursleys leave
- Added scene of Death Eater searching Hermione's house
- Added extended lift scene at the Ministry with Ron/Harry/Arthur
- Added scene in the woods after Ron is injured where the horcruxes are discussed and Ron indicates saying Voldemort's name is taboo
- Added rabbit chase in the forest
- Added Ron/Hermione rock throwing scene

This is the Deathly Hallows Part 1 I always wanted to see. With the deleted scenes so lovingly restored the film no longer suffers from minor plot holes like the unexplained taboo on Voldemort's name, and the character development is greatly enriched. As a bit of a book purist when it comes to this series, I will never be wholly happy with the latter films in the series, but for the first time I saw this film and came away feeling satisfied, so for that, I owe you a big thanks.
